They have a history of taking hard knocks that says otherwise.I feel like if there's one thing you can count on with BRP, it's their tolerances for durability and runability.
They're not going to a lighter and thinner track and sacrificing durability
They're not running smaller coolers at the expense of running temperatures
They simply wouldn't do it if they couldn't maintain the same performance
10 skidoo’s since 04 with no issues. They have a history of taking hard knocks that says otherwise.
03-07 rev E modules breaking / crumpling without even bending an A arm. (I had 3)
Big track windows in 07 powder lite tracks ripping through. (Had 2)
08 - 16 S modules breaking like glass. (Had 2)
17 S modules breaking like glass. (I had finally learned and stayed away)
Hopefully they remember all those with the new lightweight refinements.
15 wide on a 32 front-end might be a little over the top.And if Doo is asking, yes we would like the narrow track on the expert too
I don't think so but you would lose a lot of float for the weight ya might save! Ask guys how much they like their lynx 15 inch, trenches a lot more.15 wide on a 32 front-end might be a little over the top.
Heard rumor a lynx trenches alot. Way more factors on lynx trenching than 15 wide.I

I think a turbo R expert 32" with coilover skid would be a fun sled to try. You're not wrong.
I tell my friends if they want a great sled that's good to go out of the crate, buy a Doo.
If you're willing to spend ~$1k after you buy, get the Boost.
I don't mind addressing a few things to get a sled that performs the way the Boost does.
That's why it's disappointing to see the expert miss out on the new skid.
It sounds like they may have fixed the bar sawing and ski feedback on the front end with the dual steering links. Add in the coil over skid with no Tmotion and hopefully it will ride just like a Polaris and we can have the best of both worlds.
I'm probably going to fold. I was going to boost a cat but expert can be had for less money and 4 year warranty on a boosted sled is a pretty sweet deal. Steering seems sweet. Motor is awesome. I'm going to ride one in next few weeks. We'll see.I think a turbo R expert 32" with coilover skid would be a fun sled to try.
Likely available from the factory in 2027.
Or just buy the 2026 expert and install a Carbonsled skid...... Hmmmm.
Ti exhaust and you could be 6-8# lighter than a stock can Boost.
Or still 5# more than my 2022 with a can and headlight delete.
Add $28K.
I need grant money from USAID.![]()
Please report back on the steering.I'm probably going to fold. I was going to boost a cat but expert can be had for less money and 4 year warranty on a boosted sled is a pretty sweet deal. Steering seems sweet. Motor is awesome. I'm going to ride one in next few weeks. We'll see.
For sure. Please report back on the steering.
That's the only actual question on viability.
It's probably their rear skid design and the fact that they are so much heavier than a Summit. Looking at the Lynx website the Shredder RE weighs about 35 pounds more than a Summit X.Heard rumor a lynx trenches alot. Way more factors on lynx trenching than 15 wide.
