2026 Ski-Doo REVEAL

Surprised to see new taller spindle on the Lynx shredder but not the Summits as well as tapered tunnel.

The group ride retrofit is a nice touch for sure.In the hoping for everything world having tracking between manufacturers would be a great idea.

Never heard of a Polaris rider asking for buddy tracking on a doo.
The logics of two companies developing a gps app for one brand will probably never happen. Polaris would be the company that would have to cave.
Imo doo should concentrate on perfecting there own system. I am just happy Doo has it now.

As unhelpful as it is and no one wants to hear it, I think people are way too wound up about rider tracking. I feel like it gives people a false sense of security and guys are alot more likely to just take off when they have it. With the amount of turbos and amount of guys who shouldn’t have them it’s more important than ever to keep eyes on everyone in your group. Kind of reminds me of how airbags have given guys a false sense of security. A beacon, probe, shovel, and using your head are far more important than an airbag.

Rider tracking ignored I have found that the “breadcrumb” tracking on screens has really killed my navigating. I used to pay attention to every tree, rock, and snowflake everywhere I went to be sure I could find the way out. Not so much anymore.

I have yet to see a complaint about the colors for 2026. Where are all my color queens at?

I understand they need to spread the love but the expert not getting the coil skid is a big miss imo.

If anyone can appreciate the new skid, wouldn't it be the expert customer? I would find it difficult to pull the trigger on a '26 without it.

The twin link steering is compelling, though. Polaris has a big gap on Doo in that department and anything Doo can do to narrow the gap is going to help a lot in the tech stuff
I agree… their skid has been years behind Polaris. Did they go back to a pivoting link (side to side)as well?

Have airbags really given people a false sense of security or is that unsubstantiated anecdotal evidence?

That would mean the amount of riders involved in avalanches has significantly increased since airbags have become common place. I haven't seen the American Avalanche Institute or any other organization report on that but I could definitely be missing it.

Nobody is saying leave your shovel beacon and probe at home or stop using your head. But the airbag does provide another layer of potential life saving technology.

How is group ride any different? Like you said, using your head is most important but who wouldn't want another level of safety?

Not only safety but it also makes life convenient. If you can get to you stuck buddy in less time, that's time you can use to continue riding.

I can't say I agree 100% with you on the safety blanket concept of buddy tracking. I think it give. You the ability for focus on yourself alot more, and as a group can flow to areas much more without constantly having to check or wait for eyes. As long as you see them moving you know everything's ok. Also you can spot when they are stopped when their icon changes to grey.

But I do totally agree about not requiring visual landmarks any more and driving around lost without a line on a screen to follow.

It's not clear to me whether the new buddy tracking feature will work without cell service for Doo riders who do not have the new 10.25 screen but have the BRP app. In other words, if one rider has the new 10.25 gauge, can he see all his buddies who do not have that gauge but have the Doo app on their cell phones, in areas without cell service.
If you don't have the HARDWARE to support the RF transmission and reception, HOW could it possibly work on a Cell Phone?

And Yet.
To be PERFECTLY HONEST.
The new tracking system, Bread Crumbs and Riders, HAS allowed me to go much deeper into the Forests, where there are few or NO LANDMARKS than ever before.
Speaking only for myself, I am a HUGE FAN of a fully operational, NON CELLULAR, Breadcrumb trail and Rider-Tracking.
Absolutely has made my riding MORE FUN.

Are you referring to the adjustable limiter strap or something else?

Isn't tightening the torsion bars akin to tightening the coilovers? What adjustability are you losing on the new skid design?
No that doesn’t work that way with a coil over, the suspension provides a rougher and harsher ride.

The torsion spring gives way more adjustment over a single coil over amd it’s easier to change. Thats why snow cross race sleds use it.
For instance, the blocks on the torsion springs can be adjusted 1-2, 1-3, 2-4 etc, and be easily adjusted and retain ride quality. I can install one heavier torsion spring on one side and adjust the cams accordingly.

The issue with the factory kyb shocks is how they are calibrated.

I adjust my suspension setting for snow conditions pretty frequently. It takes about 30 seconds to go from minimum preload to max preload no matter how iced up everything is........ I guarantee its not near as easy with a coil spring.

??? Preload is set sag for rider weight and extra weight on the tunnel, after that has been set it doesn’t need to be touched.
I have never touched the springs ever, but trail to trees, I change the clicker settings on the shocks for different riding conditions or if I want to control transfer when climbing.
