SKAGS???

Is anyone else having trouble coming to a screeching halt because of their skags??? I have been looking at mine and there seems to be a rounded ball shape to them just behind the leading edge….I am thinking of grinding this to match the rest of the skag shape….any thoughts??

Ha ha twice my buddy has caught his skiis on my trailer ramps and threw him over the handle bars. One time he sliced his thumb open somehow too. I told him to grind a slope to them so they wont catch.

Just order hard weld bars with no carbides and you won't have to worry about the gaps or the carbides catching on anything.

Welded wear bars

I took my stock 2013 (Woody's) wear bar to a local shop for a mod. They machined the carbide edge to a flat surface, then welded a solid surface the entire length of the skag. As you can see by the pic it looks & works great.
