Silber turbo what a discussion

I would have made the effort to take the sled to him. Just sitting in the cabin waiting for him to show up for one day ok, but really 3 days, I would have camped at his cabin. And if it was in fact a friends cabin you obviously could have been given directions. You say your going to follow this subject around and let everyone know, but it seems you are at fault just like Justin. Not trying to start a fight here just sayin it was your sled your install and you could have made a move after waiting for a day, I would have. Sorry you had issues hope your sled is running good now. Boston Racing is a great dude with a passion for top performance toys and for happy customers. PM him and get his cell he answers anyday of the week and is always got the right answers.

Oh and CARMS if anyone is a crybaby its the people crying about how bad things are. Most of the 150 plus customers that purchased the 13 kit are very happy with it. And even more of the 12 kit owners are blessed with a flawless kit. Sure there is maintenance and some vendor items may have a % of failure but for the most part the kit is a great value.

Again, another armchair quarterbacks!! Do you think I am in idiot???
1) At the time, I did not know exactly where he was staying. I found out later after he was gone. Once I figured it out where he was staying I did drive there but was gone – probably a good thing.
2) Justin TOLD me that he would stop by. I stayed 100% at the cabin awaiting his arrival.
Why is everybody trying to make me out to be the villain? Don’t jump in with your opinion when you don’t know the facts! Why is it so hard for you to believe he treated me this way? Seems like you are just jumping on the Justin band wagon blindly by defending him at any cost.
I am not disputing that he has helped others out in a timely manner or went out of his way to help them. I am talking about my personal experience.
I’m telling you the truth based on facts – not personal opinions. Justin knows what he did and will never address me directly in this form!

I dont understand the armchair quarterback reference.
I dont jump on any bandwagon.
My opinions are never blindly formed.
Sorry you had a bad experience, Like I said I hope all is well now and your happy how your sled runs. I assume you smile when you ride it since they are a blast to rip on.

Sorry, I guess I am a bit over sensitive. Lots of people tryign to dispute what I have to say.

Yes, after a lot of rework, I did get it running and yes it work pretty well.

Its all good we need to all share what we have so we can have great trouble free season's.
I would buddy up with Corey at Boston Racing he is a great guy to have at you beckon call. His customer service is 2nd to none.

First off, I did not know about your company. I have mostly seen you posts in the past year or so.
AGAIN, I am not disputing turbo manufactures don’t answer the phone on the weekend. What I am saying is to buy from someone that has a legitimate business that has someone at the phone come Monday morning.
Justin full knew I was having problems and abandoned me – That’s my issue.
I am not saying the kits need to be 100% flawless right out of the box – what makes the difference is how the problem is handled.
I got hosed and am p***ed and not going away – I will continue to post and talk about my experiences. The truth is the truth and I am not making anything up - 100% factual and documented.

Been there and done that as well. If you still have your Silber kit, Boston will take care of you! Its too bad he dont get together with a better kit builder really... I got tired of trying and moved on. Its for sale if you want another?
But just for reference, I had the exact issues as you. You are not alone.

I do not have a silber turbo nor does anyone I know. I am reading this post as I was thinking about getting a silber for a cat.
I have a push turbo and I will tell you justin is much easier to get ahold of then ken from push. I called and emailed ken in 2011 and still waiting for a answer back.
I also see their side to it. I think they should just let their dealers do all the selling , setups, and trouble shooting because these guys are always testing and trying to dial in the next best thing for us then we are bothering them with questions that the dealers could answer or get the answer for us. Then when they are busy testing out west or building kits and miss a few calls then everyone gets bent out of shape INCLUDING ME.
I dont bother calling ken anymore I have two go to dealers that answer my question every time.
I think the best move for justin would be only give out his number to his dealers. This is my opinion maybe not yours?

I emailed Justin last night with a couple questions.
Got up this morning checked my email, and he had replied with answers to my trivial questions.

Thanks again Justin.

I agree. Dealer networks are key when it comes to customer service. If I were to buy one of his kits, I would buy from a dealer. It is asking a lot to expect one person to design, manufacture, test, distribute, and handle retail customers all at the same time.

The problem is, people are cheap, and silber can sell kits direct for less than his dealers can, so people go that route. However, in the end, you are better off giving a dealer a few hundred dollars more, and they are set up to support the customer in a way a manufacturer never can.

So Justin and Boston, What should one expect from a professionally installed Silber kit done by one of Justin's dealers?

I still have a non-working Pile of Sh!t 2012 with a Silber 12/ 13 kit that does not work. Sled has under 100 boosted miles on it, has sat at the licensed dealer for 9 months and is now mostly worthless.

Are there training classes for your installers? I'm waiting for one good ride and including the kit, driving, installation costs am getting up to 6k and a completely unused sled.

I mean it runs great up to about 6500 rpm's and then falls on its face.

same thing happened to me

Just want to write this to let other people know not to deal with Justin and his turbo.
Start off by waiting for months for my turbo to arive and when it does equipment that was suppost to be supplied was not and am not sure if it is going to come or not (Justin is to busy to answer the phone). He cannot take the time to print off installation instructions and send them with your turbo and to get them from other venders depends if your computer is set up properly to handle the file.
Justin also has this neat little system where if he has the money for your turbo that he is real hard to get ahold of but before he had the money he would answer his phone right away or if you call from a different number then from the one you purchased the turbo from then he will answer right away.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS INCAPABLE PERSON
I am suprised that you other dealers in his area let him get away with these antics it just shows that after market cant be trusted.

the exact thing happened to me and my buddy. we pre ordered our turbo's in oct, put $500 down. paid in full, checked was cashed the last week of Nov. turbo was supposed to ship out in a week or so. NOT THE CASE. Justin kept giving us the run around when they were actually going to ship. when we could ever get ahold of him. he would constantly lie to us. did not get my turbo till the last week of JAN, guess i didnt want to use my $4000.00 turbo. thanks Justin!!! my buddy did not get his till FEB, real nice justin. getting the directions of the website, was a huge pain in the ***. would never buy a silber turbo again, with this kind of service. cory at next level was very helpfull, its to bad he doesnt make the kits and ship them out himself. STAY AWAY FROM SILBER

Send me a pm and ill give you my cell number.

I can agree with this statement. But then Silber should not sell turbos direct if he cant give the customer service! Or state when you buy from me you will get no customer service or I may get back to you when I feel like it!
You dont buy a snowmobile from Polaris directly for a reason, they pin the customer service on the dealer and you cant buy a sled from them directly for less money!
Its a catch 22 you want to sell more kits you better offer the service. You want to rely on the dealers then dont undercut them either.
Just my .02
I got no skin in the Game either way but poor customer service or excuses like I sold it cheaper than a dealer blah blah. That kind of crap blows.

Carms are you this stupid in real life or is that just reserved for the allies that you create for the soul purpose to run down silbers turbos?

their junk buddy, its good to see so many other agree with me!Cheap people buy cheap turbos who cant afford a good one:cheer2:

You're right carms some people can't afford the more expensive turbos. I'm one of them, for me it is silber or no turbo. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have Silber's that can afford better as well, but I sure don't think some of the other options are worth twice the price of the Silber.

You know what, at the end of the day I have had some small issues, most of them my fault, but these things put a hell of a smile on my face and that's what really matters. For me, one twice the price probably wouldn't put a bigger smile on my face, but to each there own. I hope those of you with trouble get in touch with corey at next level or even chris shover with dobeck if you think its a electronic issue. Use your resources...

Is a cheaper turbo worth all the problems everyone complains about? If you look on the turbo forum you will notice that nearly every subject involves Silber turbo issues...Its annoying, there should be a forum just for Silber turbos so the rest of us don't have to read this **** everytime we go on here. In the long run, it ends up costing you more money and lost riding time using this turbo. I understand people cant afford good ones, but after all these horrible posts why would anyone buy one of these kits?I don't get it. I really do feel for all the people in this situation. Its just a matter of time until someone snaps and goes after this Justin fella. Bad business!!This Cory guy sounds like a solid dude though.

There are so many things going on in this thread that I will just make a general statement

Alright guys. If anybody has a problem please PM me and I will give you my cell number and I will help you through whatever issues you are having. You can also call our shop at 719-578-7774. I also have spare parts on hand and can handle most issues promptly.

A lot of kits were sold and we did our best to make sure everybody was satisfied with their purchase. We also made some shipping mistakes and had vendor delays. We are human like anybody else and things get by us. We try hard to make everybody happy.

I assure you that my financial situation allows me to buy and sell any turbo on the market and I decided to go with Silber because his kits are by far the best value on the snow. Our goal as a company to to sell what we believe will make people happy and Silber is it. Anybody who thinks all the kit builders don't have their share of problems are crazy.

In some ways people are expecting too much from Justin and not enough from his dealers. It frustrates me to see people getting upset because they cant reach Justin that have not even tried to call me. If you bought a kit directly from Justin I support it just like you bought it from us. If you bought from another dealer you should be working with them first and if that fails I will certainly get you through your issues. I am here to help you guys, please use me if you have a problem. I assure you that you will get quality support.

As a dealer I need Justin out working on next years kits and striving to push the bar on what's possible with these turbo sleds. I can take care of the installation, tuning and any other issues that arise.

Bmin, give me a call on my cell. I have been trying to call you guys.
