Mine has made 18 or so. If you cant something is funky. I usually run at between 10 and 14 up to 13000 feet.

Js. Im sure you have already but ill throw it out there.. Check your exhaust for leaks , loose turbo bolts, broken springs or anything that can cause a loss pressure. That may be what not permiting you to run more boost and is triggering your det and giving you the lean spot as well.
I had a couple of the secondary springs break at the y pipe and it would only hit 9. Are yours doubled up? If so you may want to check to see if they are still there.
My bolts that hold the plate the that the pipe mates to the turbo had come loose and it was having a hard time building much boost. I kept turning it up trying to figure it out.
If you find they are loose adjust the boost down after tighting them and then test run it. I missed that step and can attest that at 1000' 12 lbs is rediculous! Stabbed the throttle and she took me for a ride.

I have only hit the Det one time. Adjusted the box one number and have not hit it again.

Well it sounds as if I need to tear it down again and find what's causing it. I am glad though that I should be able to find it since I have been thinking it s a kit issue. It will probably explain why I have such a dead spot in the midrange as well.
