Silber Install Tips

One more thing:
Has anyone else had problems with their oil resevoir cap coming apart? When I was in Cooke City last week, mine came apart a couple times. I ended up having to use wire to hold it together until well my engine blew LOL in able to keep riding. A buddy that I was riding with had the exact same problem. It almost seems like the plastic must be getting soft when running it hard and the little tabs allow the cap to come apart.

yes, my cap came apart also. melted a bit on the pipe. nothing a bit of ducktape didnt fix. but i would like to get a new one shipped out, just been waiting till justins rush on kits has died down before i bug him about one.

no det

was doing some maintainance today and looking behind my secondary the bolt i have allready ground off is still hitting the frame by the jackshaft. i wish i would have counter sunk it on the install and used a cap screw instead
thing is i never hit the det sensor even though it was obviously hitting the frame? i hope i dont have a faulty sensor?

SLP has a push arm that mounts on the front MAG side on the engine which would help the motor from torquing and shifting...Just with my sled on the stand in the garage punching the throttle the engine moves alot.

just grind away a small grove in the bulkhead, its in a spot where it wont hurt the structural integrity. just cosmetic.

Exactly. I notched a spot about 1" long and about 3/8" deep to ensure lots of room. There is no worry of hurting structural integrity in that spot, and its behind the secondary so you will never see it.

I also recommend the SLP Torque Arm as it will definitely help keep the engine from rotating too much.

Pry a dumb question but I am finishing up an install and putting the sled back together and can't seem to find where this plug goes. Any help appreciated.

So how many turned the oiler up I'd hate to tear mine apart just got it together but I don't want to burn down either.

FYI if your wanting to do it, you can get at the adjustment by just removing the charge tube...
8mm nut to back off then a long flat head to reach in and turn up.
Turned mine up 1 more turn on top of the 2.5 i gave it at install.
