Let me explain it to you, Stupid! Since you like name calling so much.
In all honesty, there is no doubt in my mind that I love our dog as much as most people love their children.
If you want to think less of me for that, then so be it.
But make no mistake, people like me will go to the same extremes as any other parent to protect our "children".
For the dog lovers, if someone had a gun to your dogs head and was going to shoot it, would you feel justified in killing that person?
Thanks,
They just don't get it.
That's pretty sad. Wonder how peoples priorities get so screwed up that they put animals on the same level as humans.
Yeah it's us. PETA called they need someone to give mouth to mouth to a chicken.
Actually, the way you act I would put my dog above you!
Why?
Are you choking?
Some people have no children of their own.
Maybe because their kids are grown & left,
maybe because they are unable to have their own or what ever.
Either way there is still an urge to provide a good home & care for someone you love.
Why does it bother you that people are in this situation & choose to cherish another being that returns that love & loyalty?
On another popular sledding website they raised significantly more money for two worthless meat horses than they did for eight families of men killed in the Sparwood avalanche. To me something is wrong with that.
Everyone has the right to give charitably towards any cause they wish.
If "my cause" gets $100 and another cause that I don't happen to agree with gets $1000, I need to remember to be thankful for those who chose to give me $100. What any other charity receives is absolutely of no consequence to "my cause".
Just for clarity here, I have NEVER gave to PETA, however I have given a fair amount to other organizations that focus on animals (pets in particular).
I don't agree with PETA's views regarding fur, leather, etc.
Anyway, I agree there times when a dog needs to be shot, usually because shooting the owner would involve too much red tape!
Sadly some dogs are a menace to society & the owners ignore numerous warnings and leave people with no choice other than destroy the offender.
However, anyone who would kill a dog without first contacting the owner & making their intentions known is a coward.
Let me say that again....
(Assuming there is no immenant danger from the dog)
If you kill a dog without telling the owner what you intend to do, then you sir are a coward.
Also mafesto the shooting a dog without first contacting the owner thing shows your ignorance. Suppose a dog is attacking one of your HUMAN children and has that HUMAN child by the throat. Are you going to go to the owners house and knock on the door and say " excuse me your 120lb German Shepard child is attackiny my 60lb HUMAN child. I am going to go shoot it now." But by that time your HUMAN child is dead. Or are you going to grab the 45 and blow that frickin dogs head off. If you chose the second you are a coward.
I'm not a cat person, but I feel the same about someone who swerves to run over a cat.
These animals may literally be the best friend of a child, & the intentional killing of these animals can fu@# a kid up for life, literally.
I realize you can't understand why I respect animals at the level I do.
I'm not sure I understand it either, but I think it's because so many people have become such pieces of crap that I marvel at the pure souls of animals who are untouched by the materialism in the world.
If I lost our house, vehicles & life savings and had to sleep in a cardboard box with my dog, she would still see me as her hero.
Lastly, knowing that one day I will have to end her time here puts a lump in my throat.
The thought of someone else taking her life lights in me a raging fire with a fury you do not want to see.
Sorry for the longwinded reply.
Animals are loyal for 1 reason. You feed them! Give your dog to someone else and walk away for a year the dog will become loyal to the new guy feeding them. Come back a year from now without the dog seeing you and guess what? You are now a stranger to them.
So when the time comes to end your dogs life, are you going to do it or are you going to take it to a vet and have it done humanely?
If you are going to take her to a vet, I sure would hate to be the vet and have to see the raging fire
