Shout out to Roslyn / Cle Elum Thieves!

In Skymeadows they cut the locks that they could. The ones that wouldn't cut they cut the trailer latches. It seems they left the trailers alone that had the bigger puck style locks which prevented them from being able to but the latches.

Skyrider, im over west of you. We chased out a guy on a quad 2 weeks ago looking / casing out at a trailer at a neighbors cabin. Called the sheriff but nothing he could do. He said the only trailer he has seen that theyve been staying away from is the newer recessed cam style latch like the ones on the Triton prestige model.

He said the same thing about cutting locks in that its quicker for them to pry in between the rear trailer and the hinge lock bar. He said with not much force it pry's the latch right off. If you go to iaai.com and look at insurance auctions, youll see several snow trailers that have been totaled because of this.

They cut the locks on the back door. I had double top of the line hardened locks with large diameter bolts. The locks were gone when I got up there (I think the sheriff took them. One guy who went by the site earlier than me said they used grinders.

The Tweekers probably got the idea from watching Storage Wars, they use grinders to cut locks off the storage units, 10-15 sec. They now sell foldable bolt cutters, " I never had a need to fold bolt cutters down to a sixteen inch size to hide them in my coat", why make such a thing? And then there are the Tweekers that use scuba tanks to run there pneumatic tools, quick and fairly quite. Unless you catch them and HURT them, nothing will happen to them.:face-icon-small-sad

Sent you a PM

Shout out to whoever broke into our trailer at Roslyn Ridge last night -
Thanks for stealing my new sled and all our gear!
Your douchbaggery is greatly appreciated...
I'm sure all of the other families you ripped off last night are just as appreciative!

For everyone else - please keep an eye out for a red 2016 Summit 800 163 or someone hawking a bunch of BCA Floats (4), BCA radios (4), Skidoo tunnel bags (2), and Ortovox beacons (4). Lots of other gear too....

I'll try to find some pics and get details on the other sleds stolen posted soon.

Watch you sleds guys, Webb got hit a few weeks ago too...

SVC, shooting you a PM. Go on craigslist in west seattle and take a look at the avy packs this guy is selling. So far he has listed 5 packs (seems very strange). Doesnt know much about them and when i asked him about the K2 float he had for sale and if it was stolen he immediately deleted the ad. He still has 3 floats up for sale.

Ya check cl regularly I saw those packs as well and wondered the same thing the ad even sounds fishy.

Might be a good idea for someone with a really nice trailer and sleds to spend the night inside it parked in that area. In WA the castle law basically gives a HUGE advantage when someone is protecting their "castle"! Man I'd love to catch someone in the act. I really need to get a good alarm and a LoJack installed in my trailer. I'm fully insured, as everyone with the kind of money we have in our toys, contents and trailers but I'd much rather catch them into the act. Btw, LE NEVER seems to give any justice to thieves even when caught.

I had my boat, dirtbike, 4 wheeler, paint sprayers... stolen from my shop in downtown Cle Elum a few years back. No insurance...

A new employee I had, from Cle Elum, went to one of the local bars and found out 3 people that were involved. I told the cop their names and she said that those guys and a couple others around do most of the larger thefts. Mr. Parker wasn't one of them but they could have sold some stuff to him. The boat was found in a rural area outside of Chelan, completely stripped down with a swazall.

The thieves like to hang out at the bar and drink and do meth.
One has large outbuildings/barns on his property where they strip stuff down if needed. He lives by where hwy 10 meets 970.

They have also been known to hide/store things in the large fenced area on the main drag on the corner of short ave and 1st. Apparently they had my boat there for a while and were trying to sell it there on the main drag and pushing into the gated area at night.

The cops know these people, but can't do anything unless they are caught red handed. Tracking devices on sleds are sounding like a good idea.
