I'll play devil's advocate. Is there anyway to prove those killings were motivated by religious beliefs? If not, you could add every killing by a Christian or any other religion to that list too.

swampy, that is what my post about those being a joke was about. I didn't explain it at all, and my "its a joke" response seemed lame to just come out and say it, without any further reasoning. Then I figured, why bother with any of it at all. The justification has already been made, and will continue to go unchanged.

Since there have been over14,465 deadly terror attacks carried out by islamic terrorists since 9/11 I hope you are smart enough to see a pattern here. So post your documentation.

No, I stated and gave examples that the Christian religion has been just as violent, and just as bad. You seem to not accept that statement as any comparison that is not direct to your specific example seems to not count.

I have already made the comparison and made the point. The two religions are both equally violent. Christianity has a lot of violence in its past. It seems Muslim extremists are trying to catch up...

Nice way to step around the question Swampy. My comments come from first hand experience. While serving in Iraq, we were never able to prove that these terrorists attacks were driven by religion unless we caught them and they freely admitted their motive. It was just "generally accepted and believed" that they were. Don't get me wrong, I think they are, but saying that the attacks are acts of terrorism because they're of Islamic decent means jack squat.

How many people are killed by Christians everyday in the united states?...that forms a pattern to. You can form a pattern out of damn near anything swampy.

Kinda like no criminals in prison are guilty. I could fill 100 threads with the list of attacks, all by radical islamists just since 9/11 since each thread has only so much space. There have been over 14,400 such attacks since 9/11.

There's about 49 murders in the United States everyday. The vast majority of those coming from those that are Christians. Without looking at motives (which you are doing), I could say that Christians are just as bad as Islams?

Whilst I'm the polar opposite of Swampy's uber conservative driven agenda which seems to be hell bent on making anything more than a simple rats fart into a Political issue.... I'll have to take his side on this one.

We just dont see many Christians running around killing due to a twisted interpretation of their religon. Now we have some whack-jobs here and there shooting at and at times killing abortion doctors, disliking blacks and Jews, hatinhg Democrats and Kenyans and causing a ruckus in general based on some extreme versions of what they may consider Christianity....But nothing like the thousands and thousands of Muslims who are somehow convinced that these virgins are awaiting them after they kill some of us "Infidels" and proceed to smoke themselves in the process.

Christians nowadays just kill folks out of being creepy in general regardless of faith. Jews too. Maybe Buddhists are the most peaceful of the bunch though? Meh' maybe not.

There are right now thousands and thousands of Muslims who want to kill us simply based on what they have read or been taught through the Muslim religon.....Is there thousands of Christians lined up ready to kill anyone simply based on the teachings of the Church? A pastor?

Not that I know of.

For the record I probably disagree with 99% of whateveer rhetoric Swampy throws out there.
