Can anyone give some ball park figures to ship a motor from central Colorado to eastern Idaho? What is the best way? Ballpark costs? Any other helpful info would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Not sure about Idaho but I shipped a Ski-Doo 800 to Wash and I believe it was around $100 USPS, I shipped it in an old cooler, worked pretty slick.

USPS Regular First Class mail; as long as you can get it under 70 pounds it should be about $100 or less. I've had numerous Polaris 800 Long rodded long blocks sent to Alaska from Minnesota. A good sturdy double wall cardboard box and some dense packing foam. Packed upside down with the spark plugs removed for the flattest surface and the least likely to get damaged.

We recommend when shipping motors build a little plywood/2x4 crate with handles cut into the side and motor screwed/bolted down. Easy for most guys to whip up out of some scrap wood and a LOT easier for UPS guys to handle so less likely to get thrown on the ground.

Going out on a limb, but does anyone know the base weight of a 670 motor (ready to drop in)
