Hey, have you been getting all the private messages I've been sending you? If not, let me know. Haven't heard any responses from them.
How was the "eastern" ride this weekend? Went to Pelican and it was alright. Pretty tracked up and snow was sparse down low off westside road. Still a good time though.
And yes, wedging your skis between two trees by hauling @ss downhill, and coming to an instant stop while barely avoiding being thrown over the handlebars......it's fairly hairy. However, the mark I put down in that deep snow was worth it.....only cause my sled is still in one piece.
Almost lost it again this weekend on a middle chute in the bowl. Got clear up to the top of the chute, pretty close to vertical, and with a flat light, I couldn't really figure out where I was or where the ground was. Once I realized I wasn't moving and my skis were straight up in the air and starting to fall over backwards, I yanked hard to the left and managed to stay on and pull it out. Although it was completely unintentional, the "j-hook" mark I left on the mountain was pretty cool lookin!!! Didn't pull anything else that was very good though. Just wasn't feeling the confidence. Especially after that!
