I have a 04 800 RMK with a 162 track.Put on a Challenger and off set axle. I took the sway bar off the sled at the end of last season.I haven't rode the sled since. Not much snow in central Montana yet. What do I need to do to set up the sled as far as the shocks and limiter strap. I have after market shocks on the sled.

I did almost the same thing with my vertical escape.
I used a set of Fox Float2 shocks up front. I had to use higher pressure in my front shocks after i removed the sway bar.
The limiter strap is in the 1,5 position. (drilled a new hole between the lower and middle stock hole.)
In my case this has worked good. I had to much ski pressure in the middle hole, to little in the lower hole.

More spring preload up front. I preferred my limiter strap all the way out though. . . Still do in my IQ.

I have an 05 rmk 159 and I rode all last winter without my sway bar in. I just have ryde fx shox but I cranked them up to tighten the spring, and my limiter strap is as loose as it will go. I really like it but it depends on your riding style. Makes it really nice for carving but turning on a trail is more like a tank haha.

I believe that you can either buy heavy duty springs for the front, or buy an XC spring that will work, but be a lot stiffer for cornering. Springs are cheaper than new shocks.

I have Ryde FX shocks all the way around. I'm trying get the rear of the sled from bouncing on choppy trails. I have the Polaris heavy springs on the rear of the skid. Any suggestions.
