Does anyone else running pods hear their carb slides rattling? Just ditched the box and now I hear what resembles detonation but Ive heard that the carb slides can make a rattling sound thats more noticable with pods...its unnerving.

Or maybe its just detonation. Plugs look OK? Did you jet bigger or richen needles?
Has an RKT head, drop ins, remap..14.1 domes if I recall, Ive run it for 2years now w/ no deto issues at my elevations on 91 pump gas. 380s up from 370s on the last run for some more plug color. Has a fresh tank from a dif station than the prior tank and was makin the sound on both so I dont think its bad fuel..wasnt runnin hot either. Im goin to pop the head off and take a look at things before I ride it again and maybe spike it with some 100ll to see if it that was an issue, going from 6k to 8k in ele didnt seem to improve. I thought I heard something about the slides makin a rattle very sim to deto and it did seem to coincide with the pod install, thought Id look in that direction too...Oh, I did just change to blue marble oil at the same time as the pods..do the they call it marble cause it sounds like marbles?) Guess I need to make sure its not a clutch noise either but I just went thru them last week.
I cleaned my clutches as well this year and they make some noise for sure. it's pretty obvious that it's the clutch though.
You are likely just hearing a different tone due to the Pods , The rattling could easily be the valves which you never could hear with air box,Also Oil Delete lubes the slides and valves with oil. another good thing bout premix.

Take your airbox off the carbs.
Start the sled up and get it where you can hear the "rattle" / rpm etc.
Reach in from the airbox side, spread your fingers and push on the backside of slides.
Get quiet did it

Went through this years ago. Like to have drove me nuts on a customers' sled, except for my youngest kid still has all his hearing and figured it out.
