SERVICE BULLETIN: Embedded Map GPS Download & Update Procedure for 10.25" Display

Well the latest 4.0.1 has some better functions to it and it hasn’t lost its breadcrumbs yet, but I noticed it likes to not automatically start the embedded maps and you have to activate it, you can ride around on a information screen a long time, so if your gauge powers off, the embedded maps will not automatically start back up.
For some reason the connection of the go app got worse And myself and another big gauge user had this issue after the 4.0.1 update.
Depending on the area, if the gauge is zoomed in closer then 750ft on the new update scale, breadcrumbs will disappear, figured this out after thinking the breadcrumbs were not working at all.

Now the buddy tracking feedback. I am not a fan that the buddy tracking is always on, you can see every sled that will have it, your bubble will just turn a different color when that sled is added to the group, I don’t want to see non buddy sleds.
No breadcrumbs for tracking your buddy, you can see them on the map but you have to find your own way to them.

And you know this from your short time riding on the demo sled that was already paired to the other demo sleds.??

Yes this is from the demo sleds, I didn’t get to ride them. This is from feedback from guys I personally know who rode them and played with the gauge, I prefer not to be giving second hand info, but this was actually discussed at my dealer the other day as well and confirmed what I was told.
Your location is still the arrow like the current embedded maps and the others are bubbles. The bubbles turn a different color when they are added to the group, these are just prototypes and may not reflect what’s released this fall.

So, for what its worth.
I suspect that all of the DEMO sleds that have been out in the field letting people ride them have all had the "Group ID#" entered into them for tracking purposes.
My understanding is that any sled that does NOT enter the 4 digit Unique Group Identifier will be invisible.
That we will NOT see a hundred sleds on the mountain on national Ski-Doo Day!:D

Thats what I initially understood as well.
That icon for the other sled will be grey until its added to your group, then it turns color.
Look at dave vid at the 54sec mark, the gauge shows the other sled before it was added to the group.

Hmm
Dave said pretty clearly that though we WANT TO SEE EVERYONE, that is NOT possible.
we should ask for clarification
