SDI troubleshooting

I have some problems and the repair list is getting too long without a positive outcome thus far. 2004 600 sdi. Any suggestions would be appreciated!


Max revs at 7200, clicker 4
60mph top speed
won't start warm, acts flooded- almost always have to do a flood start when warm (full throttle 10 seconds.....)--fires up cold easy
Falls flat after 3/4 throttle, boggy like it's running fat
Runs well 0 to 3/4 throttle
Backfires sometimes

4 New injectors
Vf3 reeds
Charged battery
2007 computer
Cleaned Raves, Bellows, bellow tubes, new o-rings
New Napa relays

Compression?
what plugs are you running?
did you change all 4 injectors?
What condition are your clutches in?

Could be fuel pump, does the 600 use two pumps like the 1000? Won't start hot could be compression.

7,200 makes me think your having Rave valve issues.

Thanks for the replies!!! I'm running BR9ECS plugs, 4 new injectors, clutch looks good, only 3000 miles. Seems like an engine problem with the backfiring and flooding. Bought a compression gage today and checking tomorrow.

**When it got the new 2007 computer, would they have to program it or reset the TPS? Mechanic didn't know anything about programing the computer or TPS, so I have a feeling they just put it in and that's it. Running at 7k-10K feet in elevation.

YES, YES and YES. there is a ton of stuff that needs to be done on a dealers com0puter to install a new ECU. Sounds like you need a good dealer.
