Scott

Anyone using Scott goggles with the nose and small cheek protector ? Like the tyrant or the hustle ? Looking at some but have to order online. No local dealers have them so want to be sure

I just got a pair of Scott Hustle goggles with the nose shield. So far I really like them. I have owned Smith, 509, and Dragon. The field of view is good with the Hustle and I like the tint. I only have 1 ride with them and I am happy with them. I have always been a fan of goggles with a nose shield.

I really like the hustle goggles. I have way more expensive goggles (klim) that fog up way more then the scotts do. Just bought a set of the new 509's x5 I hope they are better than the klims are.

Ill say Smith goggles are by far the best goggles ive ever owned/used (and you can wipe the inside of the lens which is nice) But I have owned scott goggles and have a buddy that is sponsored by them (for skiing) and I can say they make a really good product.

I have both the Hustle and Tyrant. I use them with a Fly F2 helmet. They work well. The adjustment screws they have in them to change the goggle contour to match your face is pretty cool. I bought a pair of 509 Sinister X5's and they seem to be the ones I am always wearing.

.

hey dirty, do you use a breathguard or just a balaclava and the goggles?
have always worn a breathguard but started thinking about the fact you are always breathing recycled air when im digging myself out...

I wear a Klim Arctic balaclava. Was trail riding high speeds last night at -15° and no fog/ no cold spots. I do have the breath box in my helmet with the neoprene nose guard trimmed down.

The Hustle and Tyrrant have been super popular with our online store. Scott takes the KISS mentality with goggles which is pretty nice. Keeping it simple, a good frame, usable nose guard, and good lens options. Just the basics and the customers are happy, with a great price point. Check them out if you like on our site!!

SCOTT GOGGLES
Can you tell us the difference between two. Is it just adjusting from inside versus outside the goggle.

I like my scotts. Comparing to a 509 they have a much better foam setup and the adjustable contour to fit your face. The 509's do have a slightly larger viewing area.Heres a pic of the scott hustle and a sinister x5

I am having a hard time getting my 509's to seal up in my 3x lid. Both pairs leak air at the top, the x5's are terrible. I may look into the Scott's seems like they have a lot more foam.

I like the scott goggles because they never fog and I like that the foam covers my cheeks so I don't have to wear a balaclava if its not too cold. The only downside is they lost their antifog ability after a few years.

Basically that adjustability point yes. There are some small differences but that is the biggest. For those of you that do not know what the adjustability is, the Scott goggles now come with a "Scott Fit System" which is the adjustability of how the nose piece fits to the face and the frame. The tyrant and hustle both take the same lenses, and the recoil xi is the goggle that everybody started running in the early 2000's the 'Turbo Flow" that just got refined and renamed.

I got scott Tyrant goggle. They have a lot of foam is right. I had to trim parts of it with a sharp sissors and they seem to fit in my medium fly helmet a lot better. I think they will work good. Seals all air off from getting around inside of helmet with the oversized foam. Scott goggles are also MADE IN USA.
