rumor is grass drags in Enumclaw

Heads up...like drag racing should be!

I also got the OK this morning to have mini 120 classes for the little guys and gals so we now will have a 120 stock and 120 mod class so get those kids excited to come racing!

The racers pits have water spigots in 4 places and we are working on trying to create a grated (I.E. no mud) hose down area in the pit as you come back down the return road-no guarantees though!

there will be a testing area available...we will police it to keep it safe so you guys aren't out there playing bumper cars.

Don't forget to bring ice with you-as of right now, we have not found an ice vendor willing to sit at the event for the day-we'll keep trying though.

There you go Minten46, get yourself a 120 and you're in! :face-icon-small-win

As for ice, check Allied Ice, they have big ice trailers for rent, I dont know about prices, but something to look into.

Also beer coolers

What preparation are guys doing to there sleds to make them grass drag worthy?
Anybody changing tracks out (choices are powerclaw or attack 20), changing gearing, clutching etc. My sled is geared low and dont think it will do much above 60mph. Just seeing if it is worth to change some stuff and try to get down there for some fun.
Also are there any trial runs to get a sled dialed in on thurs or friday morning?

Saw some of the posters popping up around enumclaw on my way too work this morning!

is there going to be a mat on the start or are we digging holes?

We'll be using mats at the start.

Speaking of which....I would really like to build a new set before this race---if anyone has 1/2" or 5/8" paddle old school tracks they would be willing to donate to the cause it would be great! We need to round up a total of 8 similar design tracks to build new launch mats.

Thanks for that-I've got a call in.

we do have a testing area in mind but unfortunately cannot allow use of it until race day:face-icon-small-sad

we don't plan to run classes through all at once, so you'll have some tuning time in between rounds if you want to tweak!

please try and make it-we need every one we can to get to this one so we can show the city that its worth having more!

Way to go FTX ! Very happy to see grass drags in washington :face-icon-small-coo

Next...Maybe a 3 race series championship ?, fall, winter, late spring :second:

Iv got a 159*16*2.25 for the turbo guys if you want. Its only missing a small peice of 1 lug. pm me as im working all week and might not get off till sat.

im off this afternoon till sun.

X2 my 2 inch is screwed to the trailer. 159 is a useable challenger lt. It's cheap to or its getting cut and screwed to the trailer or deck.

Thats exactly what we are pushing for...maybe a three ring affair also with some bogs for the wheelers and thinking x-games style MX trials/obstacle type closed course (can't remember what they called it?) and a two day event. If we have a great turnout next weekend, it'll be easy to grow the event!:face-icon-small-hap

guys, thanks but I need to clarify...the launch mats need to be made from old school 121-136 tracks--remember the old 5/8" block tracks from the late 80's-early 90's? Those are the tracks we need. From before the event of the mighty paddle tracks!!

If anyone has some junk sleds and are willing to donate the tracks, I'm willing to come get the tracks off them.

Thanks everyone!

Curt

BTW, I'm looking for one or two junk "paddle" tracks (2" or better) if some one wants to part.
