The Axys they weighed had the 3" 163 track with a chaincase and steel drive shaft, which is 5 pounds heavier than the Axys 155 with 3" track and 18 heavier than the 155 with the 2.6" track. I don't see that it says what lug height the stock cat had, was it a 3"?. If you want to do an apples to apples comparison, each of the sleds should have the same length track with the same height lugs (the T3 was a 174 3"). I believe each of the manufacturers made a 163 with a 3" track, and weighing them would be the most fair comparison in my mind.
Yes, you can get an Axys to weigh less than my mod cat, that is for sure, but you will never get close to 200 normally aspirated hp out of the Axys motor no matter how much money you spend on it.
For $850 I can do a pipe/can/clutch set up that should give it 170 hp while dropping 15 lbs. Beyond that the smart money is on a turbo. For less than you have into the mod cat I can have a turbo Axys with less weight and more power on the mountain.
--It would seem the closeup sled has an orange hood and is facing toward the back of the shop...
My you Poo guys get worked up over weight. Add or subtract 5 Pds between track lengths and you will get close on weights. By the way how are those a-arms holding up.
Why is the close up weight picture on the stock 153 16 cat from a different sled?
In the spring max weighed a stock 153 14 and the 16 demo. The sleds weighed the same. He must have accidentally pulled the wrong picture in the close up.
