Went out to Whistler, BC to ride with Chris Brown for his "Golden Riding Clinic". Had to be hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had riding!
Drove out from Central Alberta on Friday March 30. Hooked up with Chris and a couple of guys from Seattle I believe. We rode up to the "Ice Cap" out by Pemberton I think. Unfortunately my sled decided to go nuts and I had to call it a day very early in the day. Turned out to be a very socked in day anyway, boat loads of snow though. But I got my sled fixed fairly easily, turned out to be a hose that goes from my waste gate to the altitude compensator vibrated loose and my MCX 180 Nytro was seeing 22lbs! Thankfully nothing bad happened other than having to call my day short.
Anyway got to ride with Chris Sunday and was able to get one on one training with him as it was just me and him, we had a little bit of a late start because his sled didn't want to start. But I have to say Chris is one of the easiest guys to get along with, and even better to learn from! I went from basically not able to sidehill my Nytro at all and in a matter of hours Chris had me sidehilling and doing downhill turns with confidence!
I personally have never been passed Revelstoke for riding, and thought it was the Mecca for snowmobiling. I've have been corrected! Whistler had some of the best snow conditions I have ever seen! Chris and myself got to enjoy an almost perfect day, with blue skies and 3-4 ft of fresh pow!
Here are a couple videos I took with my new helmet camera after Chris taught me how to sidehill and downhill turn. Please be kind with your comments of my skills, I know i'm no Chris Brown....... Yet. LOL. And also a great picture Chris took of me at the end of the day. And believe it or not the picture was taken with his Iphone!!
I recommend RideWithChrisBrown to anybody who is looking to learn how to do some basic manuevers to the more extreme! Chris truely is an expert of snowmobiling!
Thanks Again Chris! See you next year!
