just do it, you will never look back, but the stock M needs some better shocks if you want to jump big, the HCR does great....

I have no complaints for big jumps/drops on my 08 m1000 once set up right.
Although my back has been bothering me lately:(
The slow rebound is kind of nice as it sticks when landing... Doesn't seem to bounce much on rebound.
I also agree with m8chris on the trail... The slow rebound works against you if you ride fast and agressive on the trail... The rebound is too slow, and does not react quick enough, so on the 3rd or 4th mogul, the suspension packs, and really causes an impact.
Like chris said, 2 or so miles on the trail I just slow down and deal with it till I hit the powder.
My sno pro eff sled was the bomb for trail and jumping, but I would usually jump another 10-15 feet after landing.
You have to compromise on suspension set up.

I think you missed my point.
Regardless of how much you spend on suspension, you will compromise in one type of terrain/conditions/riding or another with one set up.
For a whooped out trail, you may want quicker rebound so the suspension can react to the bumps in a timely manner, which will be a compromise in other conditions.
Granted, a high end suspension with both rebound and compression adjustment may give you the ability to make changes quickly and easily on the hill for different terrain/conditions, but if you stick to one setting, that is a compromise for all other types of terrain you ride in.
Or you can set it up for the type of terrain/conditions/riding you do most, to where it will be perfect to your liking, and that same set-up will be a compromise for the other types of terrain/conditions/riding you do.
 
Well come fall I will officialy be a Cat rider, snowchecked the 153 LE today, can't wait.

Quick question, do they come with the airpump for the floats?

When I was talking to the shop owner, he said the Arctic Cat guys told him the rails, spindles and A-arms might be black too on the production modles. I hope so, if not I'm going to pop mine off and powder coat them.

Yes they come with the pump for the shocks:beer; Well I know mine did:D
 
I understood correctly. And for $2000+, you can switch from one setup to another by simply turning a few knobs. This is the only suspension I have seen that is fully coupled and offers the some of the technology that dirtbikes have had for years.

im guessing you're talking about the racers edge skid on Shane's sled, i'm getting one this summer, wish i could get a chance to ride it before i buy, oh well

And for the record, KillerK jumps very big for a stock suspention:beer;....and hes not a homo who drives a KiA Sofia:face-icon-small-sho

Shain has a K-mod, not the same. Follow the link, this is the suspension that some of the Nitro and Apex guys from Canada are running.
