Rode the 2010 M8's all day today!

M8chris, Why do you not like it when on trail, is there a better setup?

To me it felt tippy on the hard packed heading back to the lot... I also rode the '10 RMK and I would take the Polaris over the Cat anyday on the trails/hard packed. :)

The trail I was on hadn't been groomed since I don't know when and was really really bumpy. Trying to go fast was a pain and my back started hurting. I'm sure there is a way to adjust the shocks so it's smoother on the trail. Everyone who has an m will agree they aren't good trail sleds but since I hardly ride trails that wouldn't affect my choice in buying a mountain sled. I think that was the longest trail ride I had ridden usually when I go about 2 minutes from the parking lot we are off the trail. Off the trail I have no complaints about the m sleds and I really like the fox floats big improvement over my 07 standard shocks. I can't wait till next winter.

So there a little rougher on th trail then a Dragon! They sure make up for it in the steep 'n DEEP! The only thing I did'nt like about the 10 are the ski's. They are far worse the the old stockers. Noth'n a set of pp's wont fix!

I'll have to disagree here, I have the floats on my 08 M1000 SP set up pretty hard and it is awesome on moguled trails. It will never be as good as a short tracker or a sno-cross sled, but for a long track sled it is one of the best I have ridden on the trails in a while. MUCH better than doo and it doesn't leave the A-arms behind like the Polaris.

Just my opinion though, suspension is very much rider preference.

Our rep that brought the sleds said that he hates the skis on the 10' but they will have different ones on come fall. And I agree powder pros are awesome

Well dragonron that answers your question you can set up your suspension to make it better on the trails.

What pressure are yourunnimg in your floats?

Just curious if allot of guys purchased the sno pro 162's? I see allot of you guys have the 153's. Any reason behind the idea of going with a shorter track? The reason I ask is because I'm lost on what to purchase!
thanks guys

Is it snowing?

I'm ready for winter....how about you. Just returned from ordering a M8 LE 153. The only saving grace is that I still have another few weeks of riding.

I got the 153" because I like climbing but I love technical tree riding boondocking technical climbs through trees. And even in the deeeeep Utah snow my 153 works very well. I love it.

I like tight powder turns, creek jumping, boondocking through tight trees, jumping in general, climbing.. etc. I ride with two 162 M sleds and I just dont like the 162.. Id take my MC 144 over the 162 M. IMO. No, Im not a big hill climber.. I dont like to set the biggest high mark though I wouldnt mind it.. :)

Ive ridden the CF and I like the M better..
