Road a XM Summit X 800, P.O.S!

snowmophobia: Someone who is highly scared of Doo's, but in the end is envious just has not had the nerves to jump right out of that closet.:tsk:

This came straight from Websters dictionary, or was it wikipedia. Dont be hate'n guys, nobody on Cat Doo or Yami threads have anything like this thread here. In fact there are two types of threads in this section, Doo hate'n and Poo fixn....good day. :lips:

No your right because the cat doo and yammi guys are to busy starting the pro fix threads and too scared to come out of the closet and ride a Pro. Straight out of my dictionary..

You children ARE entertaining I'll give ya that!!

I stumbled across this thread and thought I'd throw a few words in. I ride a 2013 XM 154 and my buddy rides a 2014 ProRMK 163 w/ 3" track. We traded sleds for a little bit. he came back saying he couldn't ride my sled. I came back saying with a little more time, I would be pretty comfortable on his Pro. I did like how narrow the tank/tunnel is between your legs. I could see this being nice as you wouldn't have to completely transfer your body to one side or the other to hold a steeper line.

I'll be honest, I've contemplated switching brands just for sh&t's and giggles. Looks like I've got about 20 or so days to make up my mind. That Doo 163 T3 pkg does look pretty appealing, not gonna lie. I'm pretty impressed with what a 3" track can do on my friend's sled. I dunno, I might have to look at the Polaris machines a little more.

Our machines:

ROKRIG-Keep in mind that many dealers will put a 3" track on your new polaris, no need to go to doo just for the 3" lug. :face-icon-small-hap

So based on my observation of this thread and others in the past, I conclude that nobody has an actual answer to which is better. As most things in life its personal preference. Any review on any sled should be taken with a grain of salt.

I guess thats why we have a choice of what we can buy right? Otherwise snowest would be boring, spring time around march would be just like every other month, and there would not be much progression in technology. We all would be riding sleds from the ninety's.

So cheers to choice and the great products ALL the manufactorers produce. And some people need to take a deep breath when someone posts something about their brand. Most of the time its all fun and games just to get a rise out of people.

Thanks to all who posted but I dont believe everything you all say :face-icon-small-win

I try all the brands and keep coming up with the same conclusion .

Their all trying to do what these do :face-icon-small-hap

That's funny Geo I was going to post something similar.

What's even funnier is that somewhere (maybe Yamaha section lol) on here they were touting that the pro was a beginners sled because of the weight and how easy it is to ride... Do they realize what happens when you combine a good rider and a good sled? Haha

Its manly to have your arms ripped out of your sockets, curse when you get stuck on the flat, bring out your shovel if you do anything other than poke chutes and take turns hitting the most pounded out hills on the mountain!

The Burandt name Always comes up because he is the best in the world, and that's not even argue able.

Thats a bold statement, yes he's good but there is many others just as good or better then Burandt. I personally find his riding very entertaining but repetitive does the same old stuff while others are pushing the sport.

One of our neighbors out at the cabin raised their kids up riding , and for their sixteenth birthday they where gifted an 800 , second hand machines , any way I was talking to one of them about twenty years old , he was riding a Nitro MTX and he took off and crossed the road hopped the burm down into the steep ditch carved back around come flying up out of that ditch did a 180 back in . No prep no building a ramp , noda , pure talent .

This was the same little kid that I watched drive down past me on a steep side hill and he was to small to carve the long track MXZ so he threw his body off on the high side used it as an anchor till the sled pointed up hill and pulled himself back on without missing a beat .

There's lots of great talent , majority of the time you have to have a bank roll to go with it .

Not even worth arguing with you, there is not one man alive at this moment that can hang with burandt for a whole day that's not bold, it's truth. Yes there are a few that can hang but better, not a chance! Any new moves on a snowmobile and reason sport is what it is, all because of that man and Rasmussen. As for same old stuff? What hasn't he won or done on a sled? He has nothing to prove, he has devoted more to the sport then any other rider has! Posting something like that just says you have a lot of jealousy.

Chris Burandt is a major asset to our sport. I believe that a large part of the reason that our beloved RMK's work so well, is beacause of his direct input into the refinement of the chassis. I have met Chris Burandt, and I think he is a quality, (cool), individual. The stuff he can do on a sled are flat out amazing. Let's not be hating on him, he's one of us.

It's a changing world lol.

I was "manly" for too long. Didn't get my Pro 'til '13. Glad to be out of the closet now and won't get back in ever.

My mom is okay with it. She saw how happy I have become. Some of my friends just don't get it but still enjoy when I drive up to help.
