Thanks, it took me about 30 minutes to pry it out, did not expect it to be such a pain.
Does any have or know of an overview that explains the entire oil system on the 900? Cant find anything in the service manual/ owners manual or through numerous searches. Being new to snowmobiles (and two stokes) I would like to know exactly how the oil system works. Do I ever need to somehow drain/refill the oil in the crank case?
Got the SLP torque arm and pitch stop mounted up. These are straightforward easy add ons, I hope they combine well with OEM 06 mounts and keep the engine vibration to a minimum.
I also am fabbing up a little heat shield to save the intake rubbers from future damage.
I think the slp torque/push arms are more to keep the engine in place when you come onto the throttle vice vibration reduction...I've got them on mine and it still vibrates like a &^*&^*....
900's are a bitch to turn until you learn it! Took me half a day just to learn how to turn uphill first time I got on it!!
My wife and I spent the day in a huge field just trying to get the nose pointed uphill....it was a blast!!
Look into later model front spindles they will bolt on, change the front end geometry and make it much easier to handle that 900!
