RK Tek Drop in Piston and Head Kit Install Video

Very cool video. Would have liked to seen more detail in the injector/fuel rail/wire harness dept. Can be pretty confusing back there

just a fun video...not meant to be an instructional video. Besides it is hard enough to get your hand back in there let alone a camera!

agreed 100%. Ive torn down many 2 strokes, never quite so nervsous to be back there. I though for sure Id' break an injector in 1/2 trying to pull it out.

The injector rail really isn't too bad. The harness is zip stripped to the rail, cut that and remove the 2 10mm bolts. I pull the rail/ injectors backwards while keeping the injectors in the rail. Just need to be very conscious of the 6 O rings. You don't want to lose those. I then simply use safety wire to pull the whole assembly back, out of the way for the rest of the install. It is a very basic process.

Even with the wire harness, the connectors are plug specific and/ or color coded. If you are concerned, make notes, take pics, and don't be afraid to use tape to label.

Tudizzle,

Did those pistons look machined, after being made? Wossner has direct replacement pistons for the Pro (7019 DA). Does RKT get those piston and modifies them or are they the same piston and he marks up $110 for the trouble?

I know not what happens behind the scenes at RK Tek
