You guys commenting on the drop in with or without the cylinder shim?[/Q
they are commenting on the rev1 kit (no shim), the rev2 drop in kits are very new, only a few on the snow that i know of. the one that we have on the snow is running very strong, running the same clutching as our rev1 kits but it is noticabley quicker
I have the rev 2 kit!!!! its sick

So you have a replica kit of mtntech and bikeman? So now you can go to bikemans Web site and see a Dyno sheet and really see the hp gains and where in the rpm the gains are since rk don't post Dyno reports.
Btw bikeman also uses wasner pistons.

Seems I could, huh...but I don't really give a rats butt what that dyno says. I like first person results, and I got them and I am very pleased with what I got. RKT will get my business again!! Bikeman guys are a good friend of my buddies and there old shop was 5 miles from moms house. My buddy got a y pipe (7hp) dyno said well needless to say we had to take it off his sled in cooke, and use stocker again, since it would not hold heat and sled would run like crap till hot, could not take a 5er to catch his breath even. I personally have never used BMP, so no bad personal experience here. But all in all it don't matter whos kit I bought, I am happy, and it works for me. RKT don't need a dyno sheet, what actually works on the hill is better to me than that stupid sheet of paper, or screen shot. RANT OVER

Just because they use the same manufacturer as each other, does not mean they are the same end product. Port timing is a critical consideration, and everybody does it a little different. Some tune for the best dyno number, some have gone back to tuning on the hill.
What I really want to know is who, in the mountains, has the fix with 2000 miles on it. Pistons and rings in good shape, with good compression. I must admit the reports on RK's stuff are very impressive. I haven't heard too much on the others even though they have been around longer.
What happened to Kelsey??? He used to be on here posting regularly and now nothing. Looks like his stuff is working well, lots of great reports from people.

Looks like he's now doing what what other fix it kits have been doing for some time other than his shim is different than everybody else's shim.

not quite sure how i got quoted in your post.... but these kits are not the same as stated above
