Rivalry Week...Whos gonna win?

Aaron, have to say a few things:

- The game was not won or lost on missed plays, it was lost on pour coaching on BYU's part. And for ****s sake, fire the Utah Offensive Coordinator!!
- What about the lame "lead with your helmet" call that led to a BYU score? Kind of hard to lead with the helmet when your hands are leading.
- Heaps is average at best, but could get better. Don't sign him up for the Heisman yet. Anytime he threw anything over 20 yards he was picked.

at least i am true blue. hell of a lot more than one could say about the majority of your "fan base"

You were talking, but here's all I heard:

Our team may suck, we just barely made .500, were fourth in a weak conference, were going to be the fourth team taken for a bowl game, we beat a single team with a winning record....but your fans aren't as good as ours. In fact we pride ourselves on being true fans, even to the point of ignorance.

Sounds like some peeps wearing their kittie jamies may have a wedgie and possibly need a hug!? :face-icon-small-win

As Corey said....this game was not won or lost by one play! Officiating is never perfect, for either team! Bronco not kicking the field goal and going for the TD was not too brilliant, IMO. Whit needs to reconsider some of his loyalty in bringing up coaches from within. If you are going to be a ligit program ligit coaches are essential!

And the BYU nation *itching begins......funny how you forget all the blown calls that won a game or two for you earlier this year, be grateful the refs let you remain bowl eligible this year....shut your mouths....UTES WIN!!!!!:face-icon-small-hap:blah:

i mentioned that the call alone did not decide the game. ashworth dropped a big pass that was on the money right before the mis communication fumble. dude doesn't get out of the way for that sh!tty punt and utah recovers. bradley should have gotten down before there was even a chance of a fumble. missed blocking assignment on that field goal. i've mentioned all of this. take your red glasses off.

blechin's helmet to helmet was on par with d christopher's touchdown that very easily could have been offensive PI. (neither of which are reviewable, btw. this puts them on a different level of the fumble call, imo)

corey, we have one thing in common and that would be i want the o coordinator at the Y fired too.

I'm good friends and party with a handful of kids on utah's team and talking to the game(and how good their team actually is) is a lot more reasonable than talking to some of you.

anyways, a few of you still sound like you still think you have a mighty yewt team on your hands. good luck with that.

They are a good team, just need some better play calling on both sides of the ball....

And BYU is a much better team than their record shows. They also need some better play calling on both sides of the ball. They have started to get their stride and should have a good bowl showing.

blechin's helmet to helmet was on par with d christopher's touchdown that very easily could have been offensive PI.

That Blechin call was BS all the way around. First off he led with his hands, not his helmet, he didn't launch himself and he targeted the chest, the offensive player brought his head down into it in an effort to protect himself.

The NFL and the NCAA need to back off of the over the top enforcement on the defensive side of the ball before this game becomes just as bland and boring as hockey now is.

BTW that assessment was shared by more than one of the Y's offensive linemen.

i agree re: helmet to helmet. but if the rule is how it is, then it has to be called. and yes, more often than not the defensive player is already hitting towards the chest and the offensive guy lowers down.

personally i think that these players have been tought from a young age to hit as hard as they can and to take that away isn't right. oh, there are dangers? please tell me more news i don't know!! nfl athletes know the risks they take, and make alot of money doing it. don't know why anything should change now.
