Turbo works fine on them once they are tuned in. I had to replace the crank because of a bad seal.
I was running custom made domes in an RKtek head with 975 cylinders. I had a stud pull out of one of my cylinders while reassembling the engine so I am just switching it back to a 900 turbo. Attitude industries cut some pump gas turbo domes for the SLP head for me. Guido also has a set. Unfortunately I also had a head bolt strip out on the 900 cylinders I just got so I had to take the engine back apart. Just shipping the cylinders to Indydan yesterday to have inserts installed for all the head bolts.
Finally got it out last weekend but still had the 975 flash in the ECU and it was over fueling the engine. Took it in this morning to Polaris and had the ECU flashed back to stock 900 and I can already tell a huge difference just loading it up. Taking it back to Stampede pass tomorrow for test number 2
took it out again last weekend and still no luck. I remembered I had added weight to the primary weights for the 975 and realized that was stopping the engine from revving up. After I removed the added weight I made a quick lap around the parking lot where is sort of ran then started misfiring and died. Went to work on it this morning cleaning up some of the wiring mess from the handwarmers ( and I had them wired backwards) and checking the kill switches to see if I had a short somewhere. While looking over the engine I saw this.
Now she is revving up and running great. Time to take her back to the mountain and tune in the attitude controller.
Third time was not a charm but she did run and was pretty insane till I blew the exhaust gasket on the Y-pipe. going to have to order some metal ones from SLP and see if they work better.
