I thought I would post some updates for everyone. I had the sled out a couple weeks ago on Lolo Pass in MT and had a few issues with her. First I got to the top of the pass and my fingers were froze, hmmm no hand warmers. Ok, put on some heavier gloves and made it a couple miles and broke the EGT clamp. A little bailing wire and I was off for about a mile before I fouled a plug. Top of the plug was all chewed up, very strange. Got a new plug from a friend and the 975 came alive. Ran it against my friends rev 800 and in less than 2 seconds I pulled 4-5 sled lengths on him. He had to stop and see if his sled broke....lol. I managed to foul the other plug too, top chewed off just the same.
Got her back to town and new plugs chewed up too. I installed new wire ends, plugs, hand warmers, thumb warmer, hand guards, New EGT clamp, FBF throttle cable, and a trail tank so I could haul some more fuel.
Took her out today and man what a difference. Had a few hiccups at first it kept dieing on me. Turned out to be the throttle safety switch. got that adjusted and she ran great all day.
Here are a couple photos. I am uploading some videos and should have them up tomorrow.
