Very true! OSU grad? I went there. Awesome times at that school. I grew up in Northeastern Ohio. We always rode up in NY. Trail riding was really just a different way to get to the bar so you could drink.

You can be in good riding territory in the Jemez mountains in about 45 minutes from Albuquerque, it's fun, and there's decent snow, especially if this moisture keeps up this season. Good luck! Hit me up and I'll sow you the spots.

In NM you got Hwy 64 or Hopewell which I have only rode a couple times 2 seasons ago before I hooked up with the Wild Bunch. Now for a smaller area but good riding if you time it right you can hit Geenie Peak in red river, nm. Area is small but they get good snowfall in january and febuary.

Technically Chama is in NM but honestly a lot of use cross into CO and ride the pass and head back in from there. Snow is deeper on the CO side in my exp.

Well guys this thread is gettin me ready to go riding!! Im not new to the sport or to the forums but I am very new to this area. I am now living in San Angelo, TX and just moved here three months ago. I moved from west central MN where I left 5 sleds behind me in my old mans shop (hopefully there is something left of them by the time I get up there again to visit and use them). Mostly lake runners, trail sleds, and a couple vintage. I have been to the black hills, west yellowstone, cooke city, and towgatee. I need some people to ride with and I moved here by myself. Only problem I can see is that I am a cat guy but I can handle the harrasment!! I am a hydraulic specialist working mostly in the oilfield as a contractor and would be super interested in getting trips in whenever possible. I have a trip planned for the middle of Feb in the bighorns with my old man and some MN buddies. After that my 06 700 crossfire 153 will be on its way down here. I have a two place trailer and would love to get out and use it all. I will be checking in on here often and am interested about learning where to ride and when to go out there. Oh and by the way I have no problems with scratches, dings, or cracks in my sleds either!!!

Thanks guys I really appreciate it!!! Like I say my sled wont be down here until after the middle of february but I will definatly keep in touch with all of you and try to learn as much as I can until my sled gets here. Just might have to bring the 95 thundercat down as well to do some 1/8 mile runs with once in a while.
