I wanna get a newer sled but can't decide on either.Would like new but don't want depreciation factor. Was there anything wrong with the 07 rev adren.?Do you much diff in the brakes braided to rubber line like on the x?

I doubt the difference between braided or rubber lines will be your concern.

I own a Rev. I would not own an XP until they make it like the Dragon- "turn key"

say what you want, but its the truth.

true enough , was there any other concerns with the 07's besides the early ones?

Enough that I got rid of my 07 in late Jan. Biggest POS I have ever owned. If the high % of crank failures doesn't bother you enough to look elsewhere then go to DooTalk & do some research. Both drive & driven clutches had issues, Doo still hasn't figured out the rollers. Camo trencher on the X's. Lots of what some "call minor issues" with the sled that over a season add up to a major pain.
I liked the ride overall except there was no way to hit a happy medium with suspension. Suck up the limiter to climb but that ruined the ride boondocking. Limiters down then it wheelies out of control on hills.
A few weeks ago I rode with a group - 5 with 07's-Adr's & X's-two had Polaris clutches & all were "riding out" the warranty this year. They had a lot of questions about my Dragon.
If you like to tinker & work on a sled then this is the one for you!
Any rumors about it being only "the early ones" is false. One poor soul from McCall is on his 4th engine-lost one of the new engines with the R stamped in the case. All warranty but still!!!

I too would wait on the XP until all the bugs are worked out of it.
I own a holdover '05 (Bought it new last season) and I love the thing.
Except for a weak starter peice that breaks when you bump up the compression and get a backfire while pulling it over, It has been trouble free.

Put a BigJohn trail torquer kit on it and it really wakes up!
I hear from many DOO faithful that the '06 was the best year for the REV.

I have both and I love both. The 05 needs a taller riser though. No problems with my XP yet.

I put a 2" riser on the '05 and it's perfect for me ( I'm 5'11")
I did the trail torquer kit to solve the ring issue. I installed a "Thing" quiet can and I think the only other thing I need to keep an eye on is the carb boots.

I love the sled.

I owned an XRS... best sled I have ever ridden... Untill I got the 08 XP.. Love the XP. Get a good dealer that knows his isht. And that goes for ANY sled...

The XP is a good sled. As said before dealer setup makes all the difference. Add Dynamo Joe's clutch kit for $285 and you have a very good sled. My wife's XP 146 is very nice with DJ's kit.

The 07's are all around and cheap but uhhhhhhh.... The 09 XP's will be like the 06's - bullitproof, IMHO. When you consider the fact that the only 2 parts from the previous year was the motor and skiis then this was a very good sled. Next year I expect the XP to be dialed in.

My 06 151X is for sale at the end of the season if you want a proven and perfect sled. I'll be moving onto a XP 154 X next year.

I have an 07 xrs and it runs awesome. Never had any problems with it. I have an ez ryde suspension, barkbuster front end, boss seat, dyno port clutch kit, slp head & y pipe, cpi pipe. It was actually my wife's sled but I've rode it a lot. If you are interested just pm me.

You don't own one so don't get on the XP bashing bandwagon. My sled has been "turn key" since day one and is fun as hell to ride. :D Haven't missed a trip yet because of my XP.

I rode an XP a few weeks ago and loved the dam thing.I see you have a 163 , I was wondering does it feel long to ride?cuz the 154 rode sweet it didn't feel long.Could you still jump and boondock with it as well as climb?Maybe I'll wait till the 09's come out.

I like to boondock and climb in deep powder so the 163" was a no-brainer for me. Too long...not a chance. The sled feels great and has surpassed all of my expectations. :D

depends on how you ride

I have an 07 adrenaline. It has been trouble free-to date! I have ridden the xp, Which is better for you will depend on your height, weight, and riding style. I have a couple of friends who are shorter and they dont particualy care for the xp as they cant reach the footwells. I personally think that it is built a bit too light. I am about 240 and the running boards on the xp groan when I step on. Even on the rev plan on putting on the running board reinforcements if you are heavier than 170lbs. The rev chassis just seems to fit me better.

I have a deal for you.

I have an 07 151" X and have been riding with all my buddies and their XPs and been Kicking their butts all year long. I decided to pass on the XP to see what kind of bugs it had. My friends are pretty ticked off that the '07 is wiping their butts every single ride. My sled runs very strong. I have a clutch kit and a SLP head kit with a can that gives me 20 extra HP. One of the XPs has a head kit, twin pipes, and an air box kit, and my sled is still kicking butt on it. I do have it for sell if you are interested.

I can't decide weather to buy an XP or a Dragon next year. I have ridden both and absolutely loved the Dragon. And to be honest, I like the feel of the Rev much better than the XP.

4 '07's and 1 '08 in our group, not a single issue with any of them (besides the clutch updates), we have all been very impressed with the performance and reliability...we run them pretty hard. Perhaps with the bad reputation the '07 has (on the internet), they could be bought for a good deal. Best sled I have ever owned and I have owned quite a few. :beer;

I agree I have an 07x and out all the 3 revs I owned this by far the best. I want to buy a new sled next year but I haven't rode an xp yet. I rode the dragon didn't like the downhill diving effect it had. But it did turn easy and could flip it on it side real fast. I think I will just keep my 07X if I don't get a turn on the xp this winter
