Refinishing Project

As you know from past posts, generally about wood type, I enjoy tinkering around with refinishing furniture. Last month I picked up 2 items at a local antique/rummage sale. Let me know what ya think as I am always trying to get better with each project.

Picked up this oak dresser for 40 bucks. Looked rough, one draw needs a new bottom and unfortunatly it has almost a veneer style of wood on the ends and was exposed to water at some time....which is why it is in the kids room and not mine;)

Here is what it looked like when I brought it home. They guy selling it had all ready done some sanding on it.

I know there is a knob missing in the pics....it tried to get lost in the garage but we found it while cleaning last night.

I would love to put the brass around all of the keyholes but I'm not sure where to find that at anymore. Gonna google that but if you know where feel free to save me the time!

Looks Nice!!! I love to see the old antique stuff. Our house was built in 1910 and I redone some of the old trim in the house that had not been done. Thanks for sharing:usa2:
