Really Snowest? Where do you guys crap

To avoid confusion, please stop using the term girth when you mean width. Girth is the measurement around something and not it's width. It's like saying circumference of a circle rather than diameter. two very different measurements.

For what it's worth, I agree that all magazines seem to have a hard time with numbers. There is a chance this was an honest mistake and not a conspiracy, however. Or their measuring procedure changed and they didnt't detail that. It is worth asking the question and is perhaps worth a "letter to the editor" to bring it to their attention so they can clarify, for all readers, in the next issue.

Kinda why I used it, "girth" makes as much sense as there measurements. I was not using it as anything I care to measure or would hold any value.

there is a huge difference between an xm and XP

I agree, but my sled is not a stock XP. Since I met you riding '13 Polaris demo last spring--loved the handling--I had to modify my sled to stay happy w/ it. I installed narrow arms, post forward, and changed rear suspension mounting points. My sled is very light on the skis. I'd say it turns easier than the Pro, not quite as easy as a XM. Also needs very little counter steer to sidehill.

To those that wonder about the relevance of width, here is a quick sketch of the logic through geometry.

This is in no way 100% accurate, but it is close and I have experienced it on the hill and am willing to stand behind my statements 100%.

The width is on scale, the only thing I don't know is the height from the ground up to bottom of running boards but most are pretty equal and its a big factor on suspension setup.
The drop in the suspension on the 13 pc made a difference in these measurements and the way it acts, still not as good as a pro but better than the 12 when it comes to the steep sidehills.

Like I said this is just a reference and based on width, it should give a good idea of the concept.
