Rail options for Pro 155

Well thanks to spring snow I endowed my sled and bent my rails and my tunnel, the tunnel is almost there but the rails are toast. I am borrowing a Dragon suspension for now but I am looking for options if I can't find any used rails off of a Pro.

I just looked at Ice Age rails on there website and for $350 you can't go wrong but I am wondering if there are other options out there that you guys have tried and liked and or didn't like.

I'm not looking for a whole suspension just rails and maybe Ice Age is the only place that makes just rails but if there is anything else out there and you could let me know I would appreciate it.

BTW if your looking for pics of the wreck then go here, this is the thread we started on our ride last weekend that ended way to soon:face-icon-small-con

There are some other rails out there like CR racing Billet rails and Nextech carbon fiber ... but you are talking big dollars.

In a normal price range... you have factory or Ice Age.

I've been using Ice Age products for a long time... 10 sets of rails from them for my own sleds, triple that for installs on others sleds.
They are the OEM for EZ-Ryde, Timbersled, K-Mod, FAST(M-10), and some others too.

Drop Mike Johnson at Ice Age an email... He'll take care of you

I like the anodized option, It helps to minimize ice/snow buildup and looks sharp to boot.

The only thing with their rails is that you will need to run 8" idler wheels... they make very nice billet wheels OR... on a budget, you can run Arctic Cat 8" idlers... pretty cheap.

my buddy has had 3 sets of ice age rails on his xp... he jumps, but nothing to big.. bent all three sets easily.. one set he had on for 1/2 a days ride came off the trail to a flat landing and bent them...

just my experience... i wouldnt go with them.. get the stockers off a dragon and get the assault rail stiffeners..

ive been jumpin the **** out of my pro this year landing awkward and everything else.. they have held up well.

Maybe you should just trail ride

It's too bad about your buddy's bad luck with rails. He obviously bends rails regularly and certain SKI DOO XP rails were known to bend.

With so many of the RMSHA guys using Ice Age rails (they are OEM rails for EZ-Ryde) as well as some huge boost, heavy turbo yami guys, or Kinzer getting big air... I'm very confident in recommending the ICE Age rails...

If your buddy broke 4 sets of rails on his XP (1 stock and 3 sets of replacement rails) I'd lean more towards suspension setup or just bad luck with landings.

Yeah, IceAge is good stuff, good people. For 8" wheels, I like plastic WPS Cat style (little wider bearing). Just have to turn down inner race stop on axle the appropriate amount & the same on the spacers, (split the difference so as to keep the wheels centered betwixt track lugs!), or just get the Cat axle.

Ice age produces the factory polaris rails.

If you email mike, tell him phatty sent you and you want some rails made for jumpers. He is really good to work with and will get you set up with some beefier rails that wont bend (trust me i have tried to bend them :boxing:)

Also, you can run the stock wheels on your pro. Got 1200 miles on my pro with aftermarket ice age rails and the stock axel and wheels.

if you cant get a response from him via email. PM me and i will send you his phone number.

Phatty... What happend to the Cali trip this year??

Sure, you can run a factory 7.25" Polaris idler wheel on the Ice Age rails... But there will be more friction at the rear of the hyfax since the wheels dont come into the same plane as the hyfax. Not so noticeable if your hyfax is worn, but you will also get faster wear. The Ice Age rails only come setup for 8" or 9" and you cannot order them for the factory wheels.
