Curious if these things work well and if the install is straight forward? Would be for an 07 800R. Thanks,

Jason

I just put a set on my 07 Summit X 800 159, very easy to do! Even for someone like me who is mechanically inept  Make sure you read the part about not taking out the clicker bolt!!! Lost the washer and had to scramble for another one....lol. :face-icon-small-con

I got mine on here from Whitefish. I have them on my 07 XRS and they work great and very easy to install. I run oma lower number up the trail and click up with the change in elevation to keep the motor working in the sweet spot.

The ones i bought have loctite pockets in them so it made life easy. But for changing them from the hill to trail riding it is great!!!

My sled over revs on the trail so I run them at one or two. On the hill I run at three or four. Takes about 45 seconds to adjust!

Love 'em!

Chaz :D

If you want the ost threads on there. Just take a file and a screw driver. Heres what you do. And do one at a time.

1. Take Nut of one clicker
2.Push bolt out with screw driver, but the screw driver must follow all the way through so nothing drops inside of the clutch.
3. Take the file and round the clicker bolt a bit on the end so it can turn easier in the Clutch.(this will give you 2 more threads in the clicker)
4. Now Reinstall the clicker bolt back into the clutch pushing the screw driver out with the bolt as it goes back into the clutch.
5. Install quick clicker with red locktite and enjoy.
6. When using quick clickers always turn as if you are tightening the set screw in the clicker nut. This way you do not break the locktite.

I was told this by a few guys for installing the clickers so that you can turn them with the rounded edge easier to turn then the hex head.
