Question about out of state Sled Registration in WY??

I dont register my mountain sled with my home state of ND because I dont ride it here other than west in Wyo, MT and Idaho only so just buy their non resident permits where you ride out of state. I use my ND licensed short sled for flatriding or ditchbanging around here or east such as Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.

A buddy of mine picked up trial stickers for our whole group on his way through Laramie. They must not need a lot of info just money.

Regarding the sinclair station, I would drive up one more block and buy it at the Fly Store, much more supportive, much more local folks and friendlier.

The State Trails really uses the money for trails and administration and focus on that. Later on maybe stolen sleds may be a problem and a point of focus, but neverless, ride in Wyoming, permit in Wyoming, and a win win combination.

I have always wondered by more web pages like this one does not have a vast registry of stolen steds and pictures.
I would think that this information would be of value among forum members in trying to get your sled back or more importantly, catching the ones who stole it.

Acting a bunch like winter

Wyoming Sled Reg

I bought one last week, all they want is your money. They don't ask you any info on the sled at all. I didn't put it on my sled either as I was riding my backup. Honestly the system sucks as there is no check for proper ownership of the sleds.

To get a Wyoming Sled registration you have to fill out the slip which includes your sled make, model, and VIN number and pay a $25 fee. You can be cited for not displaying the registration sticker on your sled. Any Law enforcement Officer of USFS personnel in the State of Wyoming can check you for snowmobile registration and cite you for not having it or displaying it. The State of Wyoming does not care if your sled is registered in your home state. You can get your registration at any sled dealership and most gas stations through out the State.
