Puzzling Irregularities 08 M8 Turbo Race Gas

Need some help from some people with some more turbo knowledge than what I have...

I have an 08 M8 Race Gas Boondockers Turbo with inner-cooler, running 100ll at 9,000-11,000ft elevation, 12lbs boost, using Boondockers starting numbers for air/fuel ratio except for psi hi mid and high rpm (I added a little fuel, a couple points, so psi hi high rpm is like 49), running high 12's in temp after a long pull in some deep snow, not much hood venting yet...

Sled runs great, really great. Never been hard to start, runs 40lbs fuel pressure, great bottom-end response, pulls hard, no hiccups except one thing....

If I give it WOT for about 3 seconds, let off completely for 1 second, WOT for 3 seconds, let off for 1 second, when I give it WOT the next time it falls flat on its face for a second, completely no power, until I let off a bit then it pulls again. Every once and awhile it will cut out WOT under high boost and rpm... It doesn't really bother me, unless this is a bad sign, like detonation, running too lean, maybe injector problems, etc... Another tidbit of info, when I stopped once I noticed my boondockers box was flashing prev injector failure. I was alarmed so I turned off the sled. When I turned back on the box was no longer flashing anything at me. I did a few more climbs and the code never flashed again the rest of the day... What do you guys think?? Do I have an injector problem, deto, too lean, too rich, or nothing wrong, just some normal turbo irregularities??

im not sure what it is but my BD RG Turbo is doing the same pulling 9.5 lbs. of boost for about 25 seconds let off the throttle completely and the motor acts like i hit the kill switch??? doesnt shut down egts were fine no codes??? alot of guys says bad plugs or wrong plug gap??

plugs

ya i think the same thing... I don't think my plugs are gapped right, mine I think are just the stock gap, they are supposed to be like .18-.2 I believe... I am going to change plugs and see what happens... I also heard it could be too high of fuel pressure? I am running about 40lbs at idle, then it increases some from there... I am pretty sure it should be around 40lbs though...

I ended up at about 50% of the boondokers numbers in my sled last year to get good numbers on my afr. But it will depend on fuel type elevation etc as well

I would start with new plugs gapped to boondockers specs. I was curious to why they want you to run such a small gap on the plugs. From what I read small gap has less chance of having the spark blown out from boost. I had something similar happen. Running 10 pounds of boost I climbed a hill wot. Was moving fast and was going to launch of the top of the cornice, so I let off the throttle quickly to slow down. It was like I hit the kill switch as I launched over the cornice. Tried to give it throttle as I was in the air to keep me from nose diving. It stumble caughed and then started to go. That was with stock plugs and gaps. So I switched my plugs out to boondockers specs and never had the problem again. I think what happened/s is you let the throttle off quickly and for a second all that boost in cramming into the engine and for a split second the spark is blown out. Then the engine now floods the sled and then it takes a second to clear it out. Not sure this is right, just a theory. Seems to be holding true on my sled.

try running a setm of BR9ECS-5 they are a skidoo plug for high compression engines pre gapped to 20 thow there not cheap but turbo and cheap dont go together anyway there about 5.25 per plug the spark is set down low to help with it blowing out

Plugs

If anyone else had this problem, put in new plugs and gap them to boondockers specs... It completely cured my problem, rode it today and works flawlessly, thanks for the help guys....
