PUSH kit vs. Boondockers kit

Once you have boost its insulting to loose it, but it is pretty unnecessary when riding in July. But when you can let off the throttle half way up and coast over the top it tends to get pretty good fuel mileage.

Funny, I've been complaining about having to hit the brakes about 3/4 of the way up!!! WHAT a hassle.

Curious to know what they changed.

I have never seen a push kit around here so can't say on that one. One thing I do know though is that if your worried about the $$$$ you are asking for trouble. A good dealer is worth $$$ unless you know what you are doing.

More boost doesn't mean anything, all kits will hit deto at some point, the more efficient kits run less boost and put out more power, ie one will run 8lbs on pg and the other will run 7lbs on pg before deto, but they are equal in power (for the most part anyway if tuned right).
I never saw a BD kit in 2010 that ran flawless and I think some of that is the 2010 mapping the 2011 mapping is far better for boost, the other part is bd had a lot of updates after 2010.
For what you are describing as rider style of making drops and wanting instant power I would go with the twisted kit for sure, they are running a different turbo setup than most (the others may have changed now???) Twisted said there 2011 TM8 will pull a M1200 (want to see it) off the line and on up, I also heard it will run pretty close with a TM1000 up to 10lbs. It is also the kit that uses the least amount of parts, to me that means when taking jumps and drops there will be less to bounce around and fail. Twisted also sells a additive called boost juice, you add, 1qt to 10 gallons and can run 10lbs of boost so you don't need the race gas.

i am running Boondocker's RG/PG kit, there support is weak, Look at cutler's there support is top notch. what sled is turbo going on, do u see yourself wanting more HP a few years down the rode, with a RG option. I was running PG only, then turned on injectors and ran RG, then found middle ground running avgas at around 9.0 lbs doesn't kill my pocket book of course this was b4 gas went sky high recently. Avgas bulk was $4.01 and u could get it at the airport, self serve around $4.25, RG was $8.75ish from local dealer, Pump premium non ethanol was $3.35. I'm a bigger guy 250ish and wanted the xtra HP, but a PG kit is good for 70-80 more HP than stock

you should consider giving Reid from boondockers canada a call, hes got a lot of really strong runnin sleds, and is in midway, bc i belive which probably wouldnt be that far from ya..... i can imagine there quite a bit busier done south in terms of customer support....

The bottom end on the 2010 map created a nasty bog on the bottom end. I don't recall if it was too rich or lean, but the 2011 is much more compliant with boost. I have a 2010 and I got my ECU reflashed with the 2011 map and it was so much better on the low end.

Only they know, ask MMotorsports he seems to know a bit about it.

If you have a 2010 M8 and want the 2011 reflash, beware it will void your warranty (if you still have one).

Some dealers may never know you had a turbo on, but the reflash is obvious

I was gonna get the reflash just for my stock '10 but will wait until my warranty is up now after talking with my dealer

I didn't think about that......But I'm not going to take the turbo off to have warranty work done.

Something to consider if its for a stock sled though.
