Proposal Ideas

While near Reno,

Me "Hey let's go to Reno and get married!"

Her "Let's do it"

Me "I'm serious, like right now"

Her "So am I"

Two hours later we were married, and looking for a room to stay for the night.

I'm probably not much help, but honestly this was the best way to get married. My first go round was much different, ultra expensive wedding, lots of hoopla and the marriage didn't last two years.

At our favorite restaurant with her Dad there, the evening after I'd asked for his permission. Was a total surprise for her, as she hadn't ever met my best friend, and I'd given her the impression that without his "approval" I would never propose to her. I had her Dad "take a picture" with my phone, but he actually videoed it. Went pretty well.

I took a flight to her hometown just north of Chicago. Her parents and sister knew I was coming, but she didn't. I had her sister make fake plans with her to go shopping that morning so I knew she would be home. I had to crawl through some bushes and stuff so she wouldn't see me coming and snuck up to the back door. I knocked on the door and kind of stood to the side. It took her a while to answer, but she finally did. I asked right there. She was pretty surprised. Oh yeah, she said yes.

I took her for a midnight walk on the beach this summer in SC. A little lightning storm just rolled through and was out over the ocean and all the stars were out right behind it. Full moon. My girl's a sucker for stars. :face-icon-small-coo

Thanks guys but I have some quidelines. She knows it'll be in a certain time frame and I don't want her to see it coming. Also NOT in any public place her and i wouldn't like it. We don't live together either. She loves snowmobiling though!

You could make your dog eat the ring, and tell her the dog was sick and your taking it to the vet(in reality just go for a walk in the park with the dog). Come back and tell her the dog ate a bolt and you must smash his fecal matter to insure that the bolt came out. So when shes smashing the poo she'll find the ring(and be close by whenever shes doing this) and when she finds the ring go down on one knee and...well you know the rest ;) badda bing badda boom the ring is on her finger and your engaged!

then the privacy of the mountains. get ur snowmobile buddies to hold off any other riders that might come shootin up the hill and interupt your proposal with noise and awkwardness.

Don't do it!!!!! 15 yrs from now when you are livin' in a dumpster and she's got all your stuff, you are gonna say, "Man I wished I would have listened to that big ugly S.O.B. on Snowest!!!! Just kiddin'..............................maybe. I've been married 29 yrs to the same woman, know her well, before you ask!!!!

Well xxl having your relationship rooted deeply in God's Word and growing in your relationship with Christ together from the very beginning. It was obvious that He lead us to be together. So I know I am sure.
But I really like snowmobilesrme's idea I was maybe thinking something along those lines.

Dude. From MN? Only one place that is cool enough for that type of thing...and it works too because there is no snow from what I hear. North of Duluth (in Tofte I think) is a hiking trail to Carlson Peak. A huge (by midwest standards) rock outcrop that looks out over Lake superior and miles and miles of pine trees. It is a couple mile hike back, but I did it a few years ago when I was around the area for a weekend and the view would be second to none for midwest standards...Google it. Ya might like it.

Cooke

I asked my girlfriend (at the time) in Cooke City on a snowmobile trip. Her dad was there and I had already asked him if it was ok- he didnt know it was happening that weekend though. Great time and now we have been married 6 years and 2 kids!!

WHAT?!?!?!

.....

I HAD A GOOD IDEA?!?!

lol.

Yes, you actually did.
That sounds like a great idea. If she like sledding why not ask her while doing something that she likes and it will make her want to keep doing it.

when sledding with her stop and have a little campfire..then stick the ring in a marshmallow and roast it and give it to her to eat with the ring embedded...once she spits it into her hand ask her..if she swallows it..well get to the hospital and ask her in the emergency ward..
