Your kit may contain holes and rivets as I have been sending them out that way for over a week. Older shield can be drilled and riveted to base.

Shield was not made to touch pipe or the factory heat shield. One of the goals of is no damage to pipe or pipe heat shield. The mounting base of muff pot should sit on top of muffler so that it transfers heat better. This may cause a little paint to be rubbed off but that is a easy repair if needed.

Nope, installed mine yesterday and I got one of the "older" kits. No biggie, I can just take it back off and drill a couple of holes.

Hot Dogger

I bought a hot dogger from shade tree several years ago. I ordered the kit and had a hard time getting the kit to fit right. That's when I remember the kit is for a muff pot. .There must be some small differences between the two. I couldn't get the heat shield to fit beneath the hot dogger. Any suggestion would be great. I scratch the h@ll out of the factory heat shield. This is on a 13 Pro RMK

No problem with the product, just didn't realize that I had a different cooker.
Thanks

Sorry about the heat shield damage had a hot dogger do that to one of my sleds too. My kit will not work with the hot dogger cooker. I did work on a couple different designs for the hot dogger but was not happy with them also they have make about 5 different products all a little different. My kits will fit muff pot or hot pot I do need to know which cooker as mount is a little different, The muff pot is a little bigger and is a tighter fit. Hot pot latch sometimes does not cam over but is easy to adjust it also has a handle so could be used as emergency pan to heat water etc.

I wish that this was done sooner as I just installed two last weekend. Also, good to see better pics, the pics and info that I got on the "old" kit were not very good, so a definite improvement. Good job.

Woodsrider; not your fault. I did get it to fit on the exhaust pipe before the can. I couldn't use your heat shield, plus I had to cut the screw clamp. The hot dogger fits pretty tight to it's mounting plate;but I haven't even ridden my new sled yet. Central Montana hasn't gotten much snow yet

Mount kit will work with under hood bag. I have not tried set up on a can of any type. My setup works best went cooker base is on muffler with a can I think it would not heat as well.

Will these work with an HPS can and a Polaris underhood goggle bag?

I was looking at the same thing and it should work, may have to modify the base adapter to fit over the HPS and stock flange. Bend or make a grove.

Woodsrider muffpot mount

Great big thank (double thank you to mountain horse) you to all who have purchased the kits hope they are working out for you. Just a heads up I will be unable to fill orders between 2-14-13 and 2-22-13 as I will be riding in Iron dog trail class.

Found this in a Google search for mounting options for the Muff pot on a 14 Pro. Unfortunately i'm fairly new to Snow West and they won't let me view the page that you order from. Any chance you still make these and can ship to Canada ?
