Pro vs. D8

weight is obvious, the pro rolls easier on it's side, handles better in all aspects of the D8, just basically take a D8 and drop 50lbs and keep all the good points. it's very narrow to stand on and feels better just standing on it. the rear suspension was really easy for me to tune to my riding style. i like the simple stuff like the footwells you can turn your foot side ways in when side hilling.

X2 Agreed. The Pro is for sure the best handling Sled I have ever rode!! The new motor is very strong too. Very torque, you tell that there is a 15% in the mid range!

The pro climbs much better, in my opinion. Gets on top of the snow instead of trenching. I think the 5.1 single ply track is the same since 09. Some think the durometer (stiffness) is more on the pro. I would like to know if that's true.

I also agree the pro makes us all look like better riders and it is easier to ride and it does get up on the snow easier and quicker, but it lacks some of the power of the D8 but seems to have good torque and strong midrange that really makes it work well.

IDK with some of the dyno numbers the power is not down much from a D8 it is probably close to a stock D8 with the loose fitting updated parts IMO.

heres my take on it, take the best of what a dragon does, and an M sled and a XP, the PRO does all those things..with no glaring issues , and it does them better, this sled allows you to finesse your way on tight technical hills sides, or bull over the top in steep/deep climbs, still handles great thru the bumbs, and gets thru the trails without trying to flip over on every corner, the rear skids adjustability is amazing, a twist here a twist there and its a totally different feel and atitude...motor wise...it maybe down on HP in the dyno room, but its not showing on the hill..it will run with the other sleds no problem....
