..

:twitch:ok I own both polaris and skidoos.. both have there good and bad but polaris has had alot of mapping and electical issues that they themselves cant resolve so???also why is it if the polaris is so much better why are they trying to copy the Doo???:face-icon-small-dis

with the new skidoos narrowing their ski stance to 36 inches Im shure it will carve with the best of them,,, The electrical failures on my Dragon scare the chit out of me to the point that I carry a spare ecu and voltage regulator I worry everytime I drop into a bowl or draw, I dont belive Polaris when they say they fixed the problem!!!

Well let me see Doo's eat belt's and 800's will not hold up I think I would take the chance on the Poo's

Get the alignment and clutching dialed in and they do not eat belts. Most of the problems with the doo 800's were in 07, since then not so much. How many pistons has poo had to warranty in the last 2 years or so. Accordingly to the poo threads it was alot. Some guys going through 6 or 8 by themselves. All sleds have their own issues lets hope that all the new ones work well no matter what the brand.:face-icon-small-hap

M8 - at least 162 hp

Summit Freeride - 155 hp?, sway bar quick disconnect (is that code for "we still can't make this thing ride like an M sled") and is it not offered on the x/everest?? and will be heavier?? I guess at 19 mpg you can go riding with less gas in the tank to keep the weight down! I think I'll read what real world riders are saying next year! And will be unbelievably expensive?

For now I'll stick with AC.

The fact that people are asking this question speaks volumes about the intro of the Pro/Rush. Even without a bonifide proven fix for the Polaris 800's this chassis has people waning.

Now if Polaris would just do a cash back program offer....

Buy a Polaris 800 and get $500 "programmer bucks" in return.

I'm sure their lawyers could draw it up just right to avoid EPA regs! :)

Didn't we have this same conversation with the first year Rev?
C'mon, you all know what I'm talkin' about.....yeah..that's what I thought. Remember the 800R motor..1200 miles was about all it was built for.. and bent tunnels and folded up A arms on that first year Rev that was the lightest of the light.
Poo doesn't have a chance...there so unreliable....no one can lose that much weight on first year sled.
I love being cynical....
Oh...I forgot one. What about the soda pop cans Doo used for a drive shaft a couple of years ago...how thin was that aluminum??? It was a Recall wasn't it...

well lets just get all sleds line up side by side at the start at the bottom of a hillclimb and it will happen soon and see how it turns out. would love to see an real video of all three 11's in the up coming months. we shall see which sled out performs best out the box.

That's a confusing question since nothing about the Pro is a copy of the Doo.

Polaris took a look at Ski Doo and Yamaha and their rider forward design and realized both had gone to far with this concept and brought the motor to far back and took the rider to far forward. It was pretty obvious with both Chris and Brett riding AC's at the time and owning the boon docking world, and droves of Nytro rider's going back to the Apex that the future of handling was somewhere in between. That's the mark they used to built the Pro.

I hope this new sled hits the mark. I think it will. It's lighter, narrower, the rider and motor weight are properly balanced for maximum handling. The only question that remains in my mind is motor electronics. Only time will tell. If they got it right we will have the ultimate boon docking sled we have all been asking for. It will still not be the ultimate mountain sled because it won't climb compared to the Yamaha's even boosted, but that venue is loosing ground as fewer and fewer guys have the guts or the money to build the ultimate mountain sled's that will both boon dock and climb with the big boys.

I'm still interested to see where the price comes in on the RMK. We have already seen the Summit MSRP.
