PRO RMK SCHEDULED ON DYNOTECH RUNS NEXT WEEK

Why? More weight? I think you would be pretty hard pressed to put a triple in the IQ let alone the Pro.

Just the sound of them is cool. Old school guys still remember the potential for power with the old triples.

As far as the hp numbers, who cares? Who really rides stock anyways? With the new lighterweight and chassis refinements this thing should feel like it has alot more ponys than any of the older machines anyways.

148 and ran pretty rich.

I am not sure that 13.0/1 and 13.2/1 afr is rich(Wot at max power).....sounds like the new Pro has lower port heights hence the better low and mid with less max power on tap than the Dragon 800. "This thing needs a turbo"....:D

That would be awesome. It would be great if dealers would come forward for this for some fun. Make the entry a touch more for the dealer entry and the winner gets all the money for the charity of their choice!

The problem is I think too many people think that if X-Dealer loses to Y-Dealer, then Y dealer might not be capable of a setup. I think we all know that a drag setup is quite a bit different than a mountain setup.

:cheer2:

They used to do it back in the day.. Problem is.. there are very few dealers left who have any real racing experience..Woog, Felker, Extreme are the only ones that I know left... The rest don't have a clue. Tuning is tuning, no matter drag or the hill. Most dealers today don't make the effort to test and find their own setup... sad..

MONEY would have to be the driving force...to get them.. And an independant tech guy who knows what their doing.. Sure would be fun.. Even if we had a venue where we could have a timed hill climb/drag event..Hard to pull off though..

A little competition here in CO would be great for brand loyalists, dealer following, and ultimately mountain sled sales. I can just hear it in an ad..."Winner of the Colorado Dealer Shootout, Stock Mountain Class"..:face-icon-small-ton

Good luck on the PRO this year.. should be great year.

Kinda jumped the gun on that one big shooter...somebody asked about the numbers on an 09 Dragon, that is what B2 was referring to. I don't have the numbers in front of me but the Dragons with the stock pipe were real rich on the upper rpm range.

Ya...was talking about the 09 Dragons with the 10 update and fuel mapping...they ran in the lower 11's on AFRs at WOT, with a much leaner midrange.

Sorry about that...I overlook the 09 part:face-icon-small-dis. Kinda interesting that the updated 09 Dragon makes basically the same hp at an overly rich a/f when compared to the PRO.

Agreed that not enough dealers are doing their own setup.

Unfortunately I am on "old iron" still, 09 Assault. But it should still be a good year.

No problem! Yeah when I first saw the DT dyno results I was a little bummed. However, after riding this machine in the new fluff of the Snowies, I found out how much time I spend riding in the low and mid range, with a few quick full throttle slams...this thing responds right now, and is the funnest sled I have ever ridden...period!

Allegedly with the chassis being more rigid, the clutches stay in better alignment and get more power to the track.....allegedly! It sounds like an awfully fun sled.......

so i have been thinking of buying a pro this year but after hearing the dino results i was having my doubts so i did a little checking into the motor and why the low HP what i found is that they lowered the CR not sure what it would work out to but they went from 33cc heads in the IQ in 2010 to 37cc heads for the pro after finding this out coupled with the early reports it sure looks like i will become a pro rider this year (pun intended) on a side note the new pro should take to boost like a fat kid to a candybar

Casey Mulkins is bringing the ProR800 back with an aluminum shim spacer to bump up the port timing to approximate the stock Dragon 800 port timing. He's cut the stock head to match the lift of the cylinder. Also he has a Sean Ray combustion chamber stock Dragon 800 head that worked dandily on the D8, cut to match the shim thickness as well. It's listed on my blog schedule as happening Saturday, but it's been moved to next wednesday. I'll have those dyno tests posted on my website Wed evening if all goes well.

Tuesday AM I'm dyno testing a stock D8 with the final (?) flash to create a pcv map for those who had to get that flash during warranty repairs. and I'll also be trying to create a PCV map for D8 CPR twin pipes. All live on the dyno cams.

Looking forward to a map for the final flash. Thank you Jim

CR is not the same.

Would you know what ...
1) CR of Mountain 800's is?
2) CR of Flatland 800's?

The Polaris industries fiche show the same part # for all 2011 800's for the Cylinder head (3022214) Piston (2204322) and Cylinder (3022205 ) on the RUSH 800 and the Pro-RMK's

I'm wondering which one of these parts numbers is incorrect on the fiche.....which can often carry "type-o's"
