PRO RMK SCHEDULED ON DYNOTECH RUNS NEXT WEEK

FOR SALE

After seeing these dyno results I am sad to say that I must sell my 2011 Assault. Over $12,500 invested but at 147 hp stock I just can't make it work. Willing to take $9,500 or best offer....Oh and you get a brand new 155 2.4 track of a 2011 Pro too....and miscelanious clutching parts including a brand new Helix and mtx weights, when my PC-5 comes in you can have that too, probably throw in the pipe as well since it will never allow me to compete with E-Tecs and Cats in the trees. PM me for more info...

On a sidenote, dynotech Jim, thank you very much for going through all the trouble to set up the refrigeration unit to test this dog of a machine. Your info on the a/f and hp curves will be very helpful.

To all you haters out there, dyno numbers don't mean anything when there is 4 foot fresh on the mountain. See you all out there for some one on one real world testing...

Funny. It was almost believable.

BugIto,

Sounds like I better stay home this year...you already have the stock class won!:face-icon-small-ton

HaHa, I knew you would be thinking about that. I actually was wondering how the Polaris would do stock. It has a shotty track and of course 20 HP less than the Doo. Guess I will have to go improved.

I got my other Polaris sleds to run well. Problem is they wouldn't run in the stock class anymore. You guys have a knack for getting those Doo's to run well. As long as I can get my sled to run well in the hills then anything else is just for fun.

It's all good.:face-icon-small-hap Glad you like the new ride. We need a dealer shootout this year for stock class..would be fun.

Tell me about it. I've been trying. Most dealers say, "we setup our sleds to run in the mountains, not drag." - I think Lynn might be intimidating them. I say why not give it a shot!

HP ?

Any one know what the HP numbers came in at on the 09 Dragon after the up date with the new heads and pistons ? (stock)

148 and ran pretty rich.
Thats what I was thinking, after the up date I was happy with the way mine performed and I felt a little more confident in the reliability of the motor, sounds like the Pro will be around the same HP, it was a hard decision for me to make the jump to the Pro and now that I have it in my shed I am liking it even more.

sorry I meant Digital Wrench--EFI live is what Sean Ray used to tune my 2002 avalanche 5.3 engine. Too bad the car EFI hackers haven't gone after the sled ECUs (except the Z1 turbo?).

I researched this a bit last year and found a group of guys who were hacking their Polaris Watercraft ECU using a pirated software and a homemade adapter they thought it would work for the Polaris sleds also as long as one could translate the codes into standard OBD-II

.... but I have since lost the link....

Martin Filfe on POLARIS files up in Canada re-programs the E.C.U. s on the 4-STROKE (WEBER) POLARIS engines.

Turbo Dynamics does the A/C Z1 Turbo

SO, YOU WANT MORE H.P.? JUST CHANGE DYNOS

wow 143hp?? bummer

And from H.C.S. Today, Rich Daly's (DYNOPORT) Dyno, and it's not even broken in yet

Sorry guys been a little busy. The sled is at dyno port still and Rich has done about 50 pulls on the sled in stock form with different fuels at varius temps. As of wednesday he was waiting on a power programmer to test the full exhaust but as i said with the pulls that have been done it made 150hp on average! That is with the premix run out and 87 octane in the tank. I will be going over tuesday to see test runs with full exhaust and fuel programmer the sled will then be past the 2.2 hr mark. So lets hope to see great power out of his pipes! I am going to bring a video camera to record and put on youtube so look for those late next week!

And the entertainment continues.........................................................

looking so forward for the next episode:D.still running premix and 150 hp in av.it's all good.

150 is getting better. Not worried about dyno numbers however. Second ride on Pro today. Clutch it, Rip it, and "Flick" it...

That would be awesome. It would be great if dealers would come forward for this for some fun. Make the entry a touch more for the dealer entry and the winner gets all the money for the charity of their choice!

The problem is I think too many people think that if X-Dealer loses to Y-Dealer, then Y dealer might not be capable of a setup. I think we all know that a drag setup is quite a bit different than a mountain setup.
