PRO RMK SCHEDULED ON DYNOTECH RUNS NEXT WEEK

I wonder how much of a difference 6 octane points would make, I can feel it on my sled, when it has 50% race vs the 30% I run in the mountains, it's alot happier when I dump in the 30% mix.

One thing to add that was discussed was that it appears the fuel map from Polaris is spot on. One thing for sure, Jim & Casey have some ideas on some target modifications. Check out Jim's site for his comments.

i was watching the dyno runs...

138 HP.. was With No time on the CDI box.. FRESH Box!!

143 HP was Broken in CDI box...

148 HP Was with Broken in CDI Box.. and with 93 oct.. and the Plug change from 10% water gas! lol

it was i heard

I think this is what everyone was expecting for peak power. Of course, more would've been better but it should scoot up and down the mountains just fine :face-icon-small-win

Well I have pounded the Pro the past few days and let me tell you, it is a runner. It has great snap, instant 8250-8300rpm, strong midrange and it feels like it has more get-up than my 10' D8 with the Dynotech 162hp tune PCV. So regardless of HP numbers, I am in love!

exactly what die hard said. been riding with him this weekend and was only able to make mine have a stumble once and was never able to re-create it.

Polaris is only covering there *** here... With a little work, witch it doesn't need much to make up for the dyno #'s.. But to be honest the sled is a tad soft in factory specs, but with a little gearing and some clutching mine ripped a new e-tech ski-doo in half with less than 30 miles on it.... So break in wasn't an issue.. Im very very happy and I hate ski-don'ts with everything I have.. And I will continue to rip very one of them i see in half along with all the dam M8's i see too... THIS SLED ROCKS.... And I have not said that about a Polaris in a very very long time.... 2003 to be exact....

So let us know what you did for gearing change? and clutching setup?

When you say you "ripped a new e-tech in half" what do you mean?

What elevation do you ride? and how deep was the snow?

Please elaborate.

are you guys for real..... i would be pi$$ed at doo if they were 20hp lower than the other brands, did they not report 155hp

tq lower as well, you will be beat by the 700ccc engines, etec, and cat will blow your mind and you paid the same dollar, you need to get ahold of polaris and complain, at least i would

sad to hear

I sorta agree, only if the 700's actually give me a run. I have to believe the PRO will put the power to the track better than the other brands and it won't be an issue, coupled with this amazing chassis. We will see. All who have had the opportunity to ride this machine say the power isn't an issue. When Cat and Doo have to follow the same EPA guidelines as the 2011 PRO does, we will see who has things figured out then. I believe it will continue to shine, regardless of what the dynos tell us. It's starting to accumulate here so I will know soon enough! :gossip:

They did not do any runs with straight premium, no ethanol. I would be interested to see if there were any differences on no ethanol fuel as well.

Look, I'm not starting a pissing match. I'll spend $500 on my Pro Ride and I'll run it up against any eTec. I'm not saying that the eTec is bad or that I feel the Polaris is something it ain't, but I know how this sled runs. It hooks up fast, the whole power band is in the sweet spot and it is super light. Plus it was $800 cheaper than an eTec (and I already have my sled!).

148hp on normal gas is off Doo's claim of 155hp (which you know they are claiming with normal gas) by 20hp?

What math class did you go to?

A good friend of mine from Utah said he beat a 2010 XP 154 by 2 sleds across his foeld with his new 2011 Pro-Assault. Hp dont mean everything. Cant wait to see his sled un against the e-tech
