Issues

I have 10 hours on my pro ride and the bog came at about 7 hours at 6500+ RPM it would slow then pick back up. As mentioned on another post on here check the plug wires and caps as well make sure you here the pop/click when the plug cap goes on. That was my biggest issue is the mag side was not all the way on and would bog all the time above 6500 RPM. This fixed it mostly. Now I think my throttle safety switch is no good it will run fine most of the time but when I'm on/off the trhrottle sometimes i will get a slight bog. The tss test does not shut my sled down when I test it i hold the pin back and tap the throttle and it should stop the motor but it does not. ????

What I heard was factory recall, one of the oil lines can kink (or already be kinked) from the factory starving the engine of oil. I would contact your polaris dealer to see what the exact recall is.

There is a TSB out on this, # S-10-12-01 Dated Dec 17th 2010

Update on all my issues...

Dealer put in a second TPS last week as they found the first dealer who worked on my sled did not replace one of the mount screws when they replaced the first TPS. They put a bunch of miles on it and seemed all good.

I went out for a quick 20 mile run up and down a local trail last Friday and had no issues.

Unfortunately, on Sunday, an intermittent bog came back. Now, the symptom only occurs at full throttle and is very unpredictable. In 6 hours or so of riding, it bogged about 8 or 11 times all at once and then rode fine the rest of the day. Dealer was waiting on a TSS which is supposed to arrive today. Hopefully this it the final fix. 5th time's the charm????

FWIW, no indication that my power valve covers were loose or had been loose at any time. I've been pushing to replace the injectors on the theory that they may not be able to keep up at full throttle (immediately following the bog I pulled my plugs and they looked a bit lean). Not certain if it's going to happen.

To all those having middle to WOT bog mine turned out be rev limit cutting in. Rev limit is 8500, if you are clutched around 8300 and get them under a load it is very easy for RPM to hit 8500. Just happened to see 8500 locked on MFD for a second before RPM reset. Prior to seeing that I did not think I was close to the limit. Put a little heavier weights in and have not had bog again.

I thought about this and even checked closely but couldn't get mine to rev past 8200 in any condition (even pointed downhill on a groomed road) with my current clutching. The dealer pulled a code, think it was 336 which indicated low-voltage at WOT. Polaris says that the TSS acting up. New switch going in tomorrow and I've got a big weekend of riding planned. We'll see how she goes...

That's pretty common with eth fuel and a richer fuel condition such as with the eth resistor installed. Now that you know, don't come into a gas station "hot" and start fueling until several seconds after you hear the "woof." BTW, Cats and Doos do it too. The first SDI Doos put on a pretty good light show at night.

700 miles on mine runs great except for a vibration at low rpm's. Have rode six other new ones and have not felt that on any of them. Dealer said no big deal has seen it on other ones.

2012 sleds are gunna rock for sure..Few more tweaks that there learning from the 2011, and boom got a good sled for 2012 out of the dark valley they been having..Just that EPA is getting tighter about emmissions standards..

Hi, I just took my pro for its first spin and was wondering if its normal for the brakes or something to squeal a little during normal riding while not on the brakes. Or maybe its something else its not very loud but its noticeable.

It is normal and annoying. Some guys were trying bleeds and pushing the pistons back in after removing some fluid but never heard of a definitive fix yet so post up if you have one. In general, from my experience with bikes, Hayes brakes flat out SUCK.

Have FUN!

Bogging/cutting out as we have talked about, anybody hear a rumor of a "fix" from polaris?

Polaris mech here in Norway say they will inform us when they have parts in stock!?

Anyone close with poo heard anything?

one more question is the secondary floating or something because there is a little freeplay in it, a little less than a 1/8 of inch.

Mine has a vibration at low rpm's also. I thought when my broken motor mount got fixed it would go away, but it didn't.

mine too!

i really dont like it at all. love the sled but thought all those rough vibrations would go away when i sold my xp.:face-icon-small-sad

I had my pro into the dealer last week for the bogging problem the tech showed me what the process is for trying to find the problem. There is two pages of things to try anything from clutch, sparkplugs, fuel, throttle cut out to gaskets. So I dont think Polaris would have all these dealers chasing their tails checking all this stuff if they had a reliable fix.

vibrations

I would suspect the vibration is whats breakin motor mounts. If you could i would try swaping primary clutches. see if clutch is the problem.
