I assume the vibration is happening when idling or up to clutch engagement? Or is it happening once moving? I would say have the dealer swap clutches! Could be a imbalanced crank/piston and rod assy. but seriously doubt it! Does it vibrate at high RPM's?

Mike

i am not going to worry about the vibration any longer

i have read here and in other posts that a lot of people are feeling this and when rpms come up the sled is smooth as silk so im chaulking this up to a 300% stiffer chasis and will learn to live with it just as we did with our XP's and their new siffer chasis. thanks for all the in put!

the only issue i have had with my 2011 assault is the injectors. has ran flawless ever since. sled seams to be the same if not a but better than my friends e tec 800 for fuel and oil consumption.

Bogging/cutting out as we have talked about, anybody hear a rumor of a "fix" from polaris?

Polaris mech here in Norway say they will inform us when they have parts in stock!?

Anyone close with poo heard anything?

I have put Approx 500 Miles on since switching from the 10% Ethanol plug to the non Ethanol plug and have not had a Bog since ...I run BP 91 octane with no Ethanol ...Last weekend I had no Choice and had to put 89octane in with 10% ethanol sled still ran perfect but I was sure able to tell the loss in power and speed....

BTW my son has the same sled his had same problems did the same I did to mine and his is running fine as well ...He also did the 89 octane at the same time I did with the same results

115 mi.
Lost ecm and voltage reg. yesterday.
3ft. of fresh powder, blue bird day, Ya I'm a little HOT!

FULL THROTTLE BOGGING!!!!!!!!

This thing is dangerous when you’re on a long steep pull and the engine bogs out "stumbles" under full throttle. The first couple of times out I had no problems and was absolutely thrilled.... since then it's truly become a safety issue considering the terrain that we ride. Dealer thinks its water in the TCS connection but that was quickly discredited. I think it's injectors as my symptoms are similar to those who have had theirs replaced with success. All and all love the DAMN THING, but Polaris needs to quickly address this issue as it is clearly a hazard to their riders. GMHO

has anyone had any luck figuring this problem out yet?? i love the sled but i cant say much about polaris and how they treat there customers. there last idea for me was that i should try a different gas station! they think if theres no code theres no problem !!

which is actually the case more times then you think. its amazing the amount of sleds that we have come in with issues that are resolved by changing gas.

They are still making these sleds with crappy Voltage Regs. I just installed a new one on my 08 for the 4th time. What is so dam hard about making a reliable voltage regulator? I actually think they call the AC/DC convertors.

I feel most new sleds are coming with poor quality components and not enough engine testing. Looks like a lot of unhappy Etec owners out there too.

motor mounts

something else to keep an eye on, just working on mine and noticed engine moving more than normal when reving it up on jackstand. pulled clutches and silencer, took pry bar and all motor mounts are toast including torque stop. makes me wonder whats so hard about getting it right with out all this bs. my old ladys got 6900 miles on her 06 600 rmk ,motors never been down or out of the sled and runs as crisp as day it was new. [still has 130 psi. compression.]

Dealer talked with Polaris and they said it was the same old "lame" use a different GAS STATION solution. I bitched and moaned and they agreed to swap out the injectors and re-flash. I'm coming back from Kauai tomorrow and will be riding at Baker on Monday... the damn thing better work or I’ll have to strongly consider cancelling my 2012 snow-check until they have things figured out. X my fingers.

FYI Was definitely the injectors for me!

Started getting the bog/cutout after a couple hundred miles. Tried everything: spark plug caps, gaps, both resistors with both types of fuel (what Polaris techs said to try the first time i took it in) and nothing stopped it.

Finally got them to switch out the injectors (mine were yellow and they put new yellow ones in) and the problem went away immediately and has been good for several hundred miles. Also Idles smoother and smoother throttle response.

I thought about this and even checked closely but couldn't get mine to rev past 8200 in any condition (even pointed downhill on a groomed road) with my current clutching. The dealer pulled a code, think it was 336 which indicated low-voltage at WOT. Polaris says that the TSS acting up. New switch going in tomorrow and I've got a big weekend of riding planned. We'll see how she goes...

get your sled to pop a wheelie and keep it pinned (don't flip over backwards). I bounce my assualt off the rev limiter all the time doing this.
