Eddie Eddie, your mostly right, except for the reason for providing them to your Pro riding buds. (The correct reason would be so that your pro riding buds could then push the powder up and over the big stuff to get you and your XM home for dinner). not really a lol now is it. (lol)

K enough BS. Looking at getting one. Money aside. Is it going to help?

Been riding with one for around 500 miles, and I haven't had any problems. Although I didn't have an problems before, so who knows. If it saves 1 belt, your money ahead.

Ok. Here is my take for what it is worth. I think everyone on here will overpay for something that is guaranteed to solve a known problem. It gets finicky when a fix for a problem some have and some do not is perceived as expensive. Comes down to individual idea of expensive or cheap. If you are blowing $200 belts ( Or Whatever the cost ) $150 is cheap. If you have rode 2000 miles and never blown one it is a waste of money. A $5000 turbo gives you a definite and noticeable improvement in performance whereas a $150 adjuster may not seem to do anything and therefore is a waste of money ( trust me been there ). Bottom line is buy the products you think will solve the issues you have and skip the ones you think you do not need. I see both sides of this thread as I have owned my own business for 17 years. If you have to charge a perceived high price ( yet fair ) for a product that may not be necessary it may cause some negative feedback. At the same time to all those who have not risked everything to start your own business, well you will never understand that we work twice as many hours as you do for sometimes half the pay. Unfortunately this is a very expensive sport and if you piss like a pup, stay on the porch. Sorry that is just the way it is.

I'm almost at 500 miles on mine, running a 13 belt with about 1000 miles on it. One thing I did notice is a way more direct feel in the driveline going from hard brake to hard throttle and vice-versa.
I always used to hate the noise and feel of slamming the brakes, but now I don't even think about it... it must be doing something!

Is there anyone out there that WAS blowing belts and have tried either of these?? Did it help? I did not have any trouble with mine last year, but if it is actually preventing problems, i would be willing to drop $150 on one. (maybe not $400 but who knows). $150 for peace of mind is the best deal i've heard so far!! :face-icon-small-coo

I purchased the FnI belt deflector for my 14 pro. I actually blew a qd belt on my sled with 15 miles on it... But lets just say I didn't break it in the way Polaris recommends it. Turbo power while tuning the sled. I was hard on/off the throttle that whole 15 miles... Anyways I now have the deflector installed and taking it easier on this belt. I will report back. My 13' stock lasted 1300 miles and is still going strong though.
