what is a good course to take i have tooken a course and i didnt do much for me and i have a av bag im just trying to get at is there is no way that thows bags can coast that much to make and should be cheeper and every one should have one

The course I took was around 10 hours inclass, and 1 day field training. Where you learn how to read the snowpack, use your beacons, probes, and shovels properly. Yes, believe it or not, you have to learn how to dig properly! Also learn how to stay safe, like always parking your sleds downhill ready to go anytime. It is also good to do it as a group, everyone needs to know the same stuff. Practicing with your beacon it won't take long and you will notice how long it takes you unexperienced vs someone who knows what they are doing. I couldn't believe even after a bit of practice, I couldn't find a bag burried under the snow, nor could my buddy with me, pretty scary and the fact that the guy who knew what he was doing could hit it in one probe, and we had tried over 20.........

The scary part is other sledders who aren't educated, I am still shocked to this day how another sledder endangered me terribly and probably didn't even know. And was very close to a hill sliding and coming down on me in the middle, with a stuck sled because he rode past me stuck in the middle of a hill, near a sketchy slope.....
