Always head to Revy early Fri. after the feast.
Peaks Lodge is where to stay.
We always do the "hope there's enough" back and forth dance for years now.
Good news is we have never been disappointed but we have ridden in low coverage a few times.
As you have issues with crossing... when you get to the border just go in and pay the 200$ for temporary Canadian citizenship, they give you 1 week to visit then get the heck out of the country before it expires or you will be picked up and get a chance to check out how Canada deals with felons
The best way to handle it is to just cross and see if they raise an issue. They don't pull records on every crosser just those they suspect might have an issue. Lots of people cross that have issues they just don't get picked up in the net.
I don't know ongoing about marijuana charges. If its legal in the state then should a previous charge for what is now legal be held against you?
Charges that are considered Felonies in Canada. DUI in Canada is a Felony DUI in US is not.
If you have a clean record you can count on your fingers to about 7 and then say " no never convicted"
If you aren't eligible to cross ongoing they can offer you a one time use temporary crossing permit that has a limit on when you have to be out of the country. Now they put a mark on your passport so it automatically comes up if you tried to get in again.
This is because you didn't know you cant get in but now you are on notice. You would have to apply for rehabilitation now its ( very difficult) to get in again.
Just like the US gives illegals one chance for a free ride back to border with no penalties, the next time the penalties go up. If you try and cross again then you will be ejected from the country. If you are caught trying to get in again you will be brought before a judge and levied penalties and possibly prison. This is designed to have a penalty so severe you don't come back.
So how do you avoid this? just cross and keep your mouth shut. You can cross until you get on the list and use the one time $200 fee then don't plan on visiting Canada until you get rehabilitated or have the charges dropped from your record.
There's 4 in the group but we usually split up into 2 groups of 2 because the other two need to take pictures most of the day.
Hey ReTodd, I'm in my 40's and wouldn't mind another my age going.
The guys I ride with are all much younger(30's).
I do have to mention we ride Turbo sleds and explore every deep and steep ravine and tree lined hill. Also a few "secret squirrel" honey holes that most don't know of.
Feel free to shoot me a PM if you want any ?'s answered.
Got some buddies going. I'm sure we'll be on Frisby in the Cariboo area. Maybe we'll see you up there. If not, let's hook up and see what kind of trouble we can get in to on Baker.
