In all honesty that is one of the GREAT MYSTERIES here.

For the life of me I don't understand why more of our members don't use the chat box.

Granted, its a premium membership feature, but we have plenty of premium members, and most just dont' take advantage of it for some reason.
 
And today was a VERY busy day for SnoWest.
Probably the most traffic we have had in the last 5 months.
Loads of people dropped in over the course of the day and started browsing the forums once again. Loads of "guests" just cruising the site.

The summer is drawing to a close and members are starting to think about sledding once again !!!

Currently Active Users: 943 (382 members and 561 guests)(at 11:00pm )

The downside to having so many sub forums is that it makes the original forums seem less active.

The use of treadmill and the new posts features seem completely contradictory to the whole point of all the sub forums, since I don't think you are using the sub-forums at all.

What used to be fouled plug, is now like 4 different sections. Assuming they are all equal in activity, that means 1/4 as busy as before. Though, it only seems like that.

Oh, and the thread over there is hilarious. I loved it when they made the active members equal to the total members in their stats. ha ha ha and they all talk about snowest manipulating the numbers.. LMAO!!!

Ya, all the sub forums makes it easier if you want to get specific, but then you end up missing info that may be good across the board (all the subs in each sled brand for example).

Ruffryder you were the only action going over there when they we messing with the active members numbers trying to make the forum look like it was actually active. I think it was all done just to pull your chain and give people something interesting to read.

And just to be fair...within 30 seconds on both sites:
Currently Active Users: 14 (4 Rebels and 10 guests)
Currently Active Users: 366 (118 members and 248 guests)

The 2 new sections we created for the summer in Fouled Plug never went anywhere, so they are both gone now.

Chat box, I thought it was dumb over here, and I think it is dumb over there. I think all the sites will pick up as we get closer to winter, but, with people scattered about on three different sites, this place won't be as busy as it once was.

I find bcr to be a bit confusing also.

Its all good though, winter will be here soon.

I didn't notice that before. Please tell me it happened like a week ago. Otherwise dementia is starting faster then anticipated.. :face-icon-small-con.

I'm just speaking for myself here.........

I don't get the whole chat thing,
I don't feel the need to tell everyone what I am having for supper, or how big my dump was.
I don't do My Face, or Spacebook, I don't Twat or tweet or whatever.
I guess what I'm saying is I actually have a life.

Isn't what you are having for supper directly related to the size of your dump?
 
i just visit browse all arctic cat and the other three sleds..deep powder..general snowmobiling..performance..fouled plug..and browse swapmeet...and that is all i need in a forum..i agree its all spread out here..lots of times there is hundreds logged on and the most popular thread or forum only has 20 viewing..??..so i guess time will tell...its like trying to get a snake to slither in a straight line..only ruffy can do that..
 
I really only check mesaages here like most I'm sure . There is nothing going on here except the 900 section that I am aware of .

Christopher. I think your kiding yourself about the future.This place dies in the summer but has never been this dead . I dont see it raoring back very soon either. maybe a trickle ! Maybe Until people realize what happened here . I was glad to see some go but the overall impact to this site has been negative. IMO
 
The only redeaming quality left of the original Snowest is the Swapmeet.
If it dies , I wont ever be back.

As for the traffic numbers...who cares ....its about the quality of the posts that matters.
